I believe you took me for a fool.
Thought I would bend to your will.
That if you pushed me hard enough,
I would take it and just stand still.

But you mistook my quiet nature,
For a weakness, a big mistake.
Just because I don't speak loudly,
Doesn't mean I'll bend and break.

I saw through all the games you play,
I knew as you walked in the door.
That you were in this for yourself,
And dealing with you would be a chore.

Maybe if you had took a moment,
approached me a little differently.
Really cared about what I was saying,
Stopped coming at me so brazenly.

Maybe then I would've listened,
and given you more of my time,
You were so pushy in the beginning,
It was obvious you weren't my kind.

And now I'm moving on my friend,
To someone that's a bit more real.
He listens to what I am saying,
Understands exactly how I feel.

Hopefully you'll find someone,
Who will help you find your way,
Someone who you love to be with,
Who doesn't mind the games you play.

Very nice, I used to be a poet
A damn good one.

But then I grew up and started chasing money, there is simply no money in poetry and very dwindling number of people who appreciate it.

In fact Hip Hop and RAP have taken classical poetry and made it into futuristic hell it is today.

Make sure you only get satisfaction for yourself, if you do it to impress others, over time you will be disappointed.

I mean I like it but....
