10 mile spacecraft and 60 mile highway discovered in 1968 moon photo?

A 1968 photo taken during a Lunar Orbiter mission to the moon shows what appears to be a spacecraft that is at least 10 miles (16 km) long resting inside the Crater Manlius. The photo was the subject of a Youtube video that was released on October 4 that shows various close ups and light contrasts of the apparent spacecraft. Most of the object is well illuminated by the sun, but the rest is in the shadows of the crater which is approximately 20 miles (34 km) in diameter, What appears to be a spacecraft cockpit is in shadows. According to an October 5 blog post on UFO Sightings Daily, the object is a UFO that was being secretly studied by NASA, and the real target for upcoming Apollo moon missions.

I never saw this one before. Not bad photo for 1968, I am sitting on the fence on this one. Maybe some of you more experienced people here on ATS could shed some light on this.

No, nothing was derailed. I'm sorry if you cannot connect the dots.

I was showing, by example, how ridiculous the claim made in the OP was. Nothing has been derailed - I was just using the same logic as the OP did to prove a point.

Why are so many of these youtubes out of focus? Seems to defeat the purpose.

Why is considered hidden? Is that meant to mean it had some cover over it so it blends into the surroundings?

what the alleged ufo reminded me alot of, was our shuttle. What I also saw as well was something that looked alot like a landing strip or something.

This isn't a UFO. It is clearly not flying. I like the potato.

In response to the thread itself, I have to say to the OP that the formation he is looking at does not appear to be anything more than an artefact of the impact which created the crater. It's nothing I would not have expected to see there.

As for the highway, there is evidence that the construction of the moon is such that a massive, near rectangular series of canyons formed, probably due to build ups of volatile material in the region encompassed by the canyons, material which shrank through heating, opening up these canyons. Given the improbable shape of those canyons, it is likely that there are other stretch marks on the moon, which might account for highway like surface features.

Looks like 60 miles of Chicago highway.

If you zoom in and look closely at the "highway" you can see it's a natural depression approximately 5 miles wide..

There are flows and bumps and all sorts of geography inside of it. Kind of cool, but would be a really crappy runway what with all of the major variation inside.

That band looks like a blemish in the photographic material.

it might be a spaceship, hard to say for sure, maybe something made to resemble a spaceship ?

too bad all we get are black and white pics color might help resolve some of the bigger questions about life on the surface being possible or not
