This ebola thing is worse than they're letting on I bet. I read where some Liberian Muslims jumped ship in Virginia Beach and disappeared. Odds are that they're infected and they know it, and this is their way of doing Jihad. Not good at all.

And honestly, if this situation was grave, I do not believe that the CDC would tell us. Why? Two Words: Mass Panic.

The New York Times said that Duncan, in his mid-40s, helped transport a pregnant woman suffering from Ebola to a hospital in Liberia, where she was turned away for lack of space. Duncan helped bring the woman back to her family's home and carried her into the house, where she later died, the newspaper reported. Four days later Duncan left for the United States, the Times said, citing the woman's parents and neighbors.

It is amazing that this guy was allowed to get on a plane out of Africa after the visit there in the first place

Damn.. I had an idea for a short story like 4 years ago about a "typhoid muhammed" (which would have been a deragatory term in the atory) about extremists intentionally infecting themselves and yhen spreading disease, but I figured id make it an anecdote or sub plot in a later piece.

I figured itd be an idea floated eventually but not so soon.

Wow.. thats incredibly stupid and irresponsible. I wonder if he told the hospital on his first visit that he actually carried an infectes person. Was he trying to get it?

I really feel that the hospital dropped the ball on this. It makes you wonder about their triage system. How could anyone stating they just came from Liberia not be taken serious. It's not like the whole world is not aware that there is a serious outbreak of Ebola. I just can't stop shaking my head in wonderment over the stupidity of this hospitals triage unit. Especially when the article goes on to say that the rest of the medical team was not given the info.

He probably wasn't showing any symptoms at the time. But he did know he had transported someone who was sick with the virus. He was as irresponsible as the hospital that turned him away. It's because of actions such as his, that we need to stop allowing flights to come here from the hot zones.

Now think about this: This guy (Patient Zero in Dallas) came into contact with people on airplanes and in airports along the way. In hotels and cabs. All those people were potentially exposed, and went on their way to infect others. This guy touched door handles and other surfaces that hundreds or thousands of other people touched. He breathed out into the closed container environment of the airplanes in which he flew. And so on.

2. Coughing projects droplets of spit into the air and onto surfaces. This is a fact.

3. Speaking closely within a few feet of another person can project liquid droplets of spittle onto them. This is a fact.

Apparently he wasnt showing symptoms until well after tge day of his arrival right? Id say the people on the plane (where did the plane come from - layovers?) so the passengers are probably okay. Its yhe people he contacted the day of and days following his first attempt to enter yhe hospital that are at risk. How many days between first visit and sexond?

Lie #1) Ebola won't ever come to the United States

Not only has Ebola already spread to America, but a top scientist who used to work for the FDA now says this is only the beginning and that Ebola will spread in America. As scary and as real the doom porn might sound, there is not much to do but wait and see. To be honest i think much of the damage was still prevented and most of the drama you and many others expect wont happen, but nobody knows for sure i guess. I'd say by the end of the month we can have a tiny celebration if we're all still okay!
