No I understand the reasoning behind it and the usefulness of it depending on what the intended goal is. I also think that some actually did use such tactics a while back although I don't know how successfully and for exactly what purpose. But I could be wrong also.

Where Justice and Rightness comes in to play though is from the perspective of these protestors though and the Good that can come from this situation. Deceptive tactics with such high risks are great for some situations but in this situation would only benefit some third party using them for their own advancement. They wouldn't benefit either the protestors or the cops however simply because of the damage caused in doing so.

So while I see your point very clearly, I find the idea of using such methods to be quite vile, selfish and sadistic. Are you promoting such ideas or just mentioning them for the sake of discussion??

Mental note, not a good idea to live stream protests with a bunch of warrants...lol

I'll recap for you. I'm surprised, given the volatility of the situation, that no one has capitalized on it with a big C.

It's certainly gone on long enough, and it's wound up tight enough, that even if you weren't ready to capitalize on it at the beginning you could easily have done so before it was over. Or, get in place and get ready, then set off a second round.

Sort of like this.

The technique may be vile, but it's not selfish or sadistic. Any more than any other large scale political maneuver is, I suppose.

It'll be interesting to hear their justification for it. "Recording cops" probably won't be the charge. Maybe his ride height was a quarter inch too low.

The fact that this thread is so active drew me back in. Besides the evidence of toothless piranhas I realize that the attention this thread has summoned could represent how things are going to play out in Missouri. The topic and emotion are still hot. Just what's next I have to wonder?

The live scanner just said an unarmed police officer was shot and asked for air unit and any available cars go to the area. Also asked for aid to an officer at another intersection. If this is accurate then this will rapidly escalate.

I wasn't trying to offend you or anything, I just wasn't sure what your intention was in mentioning it.

Well, it's not over yet and if you think about it, things are still just starting with this whole thing. Things take so long that the initial chaos has died down some but remember there is still the actual trial and everything yet to go. So the possibility of someone "leveraging" this event to their own advantage could very well still happen. In fact it may be being planned as we speak and/or in motion. There is still plenty of time left in the game.

BTW, it's just my opinion but I would probably say most Large scale Political maneuvers actually do rate as Vile, Selfish and Sadistic. But maybe that's just me.

The scanner just said 3 armed black males in a charger and the car was shot several times. Multiple shots in the area.

More shots fired near a park...it is escalating out of control and some citizens are fighting back this time it sounds like.

Black Dodge charger with 3 black males shot a officer when he was on his way home, there attempting to shut down the freeway to catch them.

West bound traffic not stopped and cars are turning around, officer is reporting it as a bad situation

They said it was a unarmed officer, but they also said shots were returned that the charger was hit...

Maybe im not catching everything, how many cops have been shot!

If you'd had some time to plan for this, you could make things a lot more tense and entertaining by taking the communications down now that it's dark. Drop the cell towers and the tower hosting the police radio in the area. Cops without radios and peeps without cell phones would amp that right up another notch, make the response more...chaotic when you give it your little push.
