So....How do we mend

the broken promises

the lies we use to better ourselves

the fear of what's ahead

What makes you think you are incapable?

If you ever gave to another person for the sake of helping them out without expecting something back from them in return - then you are capable of giving boundless love because that shows that you've already done it before.

If you ever gave a homeless person money or food that was boundless love.

Generosity is boundless love because it gives without self-seeking. It does not expect anything back from the person it gives to.

onequestion:

...word(s) from a poet about a lot of today's issues.

Yeah...I guess he nails it. All the duplicity, the complicity, the reversed perceptions and contradictions. All the outward and inner lies we project on others and on ourselves as we behave and act contrarily to the principles and faiths we have either been taught or learned from experience, because we believe that if we didn't, we would lose out, miss out on all the unmerited reward we believe the world owes us, simply because we...live.

If you want the world to change into something better, one should always begin with oneself. In the end, that is the only change you should be interested in.

The world does not need to end, those who feel that way have some darkness inside of them they wish would end. But man can cure himself of this without hurting the world. Meditation is the answer. While I recognize the world as full of suffering it is the natural order and it does not need to end, nor will it ever end. The world will live on after we're gone, it's foolish to think otherwise.

I remember watching my mother as a kid partially unraveling a jumper she was knitting because a few rows back she had made a mistake.
In theory there is no reason why human reality could not be partially unraveled to correct past mistakes. Some people even want to unravel the whole thing and go back to the very beginning.
I believe that reality as we know it is in serious danger of unraveling on its own accord in which case we will have no control at all over events and effects. Scary stuff IMHO.
