It's pretty obvious which side he favours woogle. I am also sure that he was one of the posters that shot me down when i mentioned the SNP Catholic Church connections around the time of the Indy referendum. There is a definite Catholic angle to the whole mess although they will keep on denying it. Hypocrites the lot of them.

I also notice that the IRA have started their atrocities again. What is it they want now? Did Sinn Fein not get everything they wanted? Maybe they just want to drive Protestants out of Ireland all together. Maybe that was the plan all along!

What mess? People taking part in a democratic process? And what have the IRA got to do with Scottish independence?

The issue of Scottish independence had nothing whatsoever to do with religion, the possible not so honorable exception of the pro union orange order nut jobs.

I take it you didn't read the links i posted. Even when it is staring you right in the face you still deny it. If it is nothing to do with Religion i suggest you contact your local Priest and inform him of your wishes that the Vatican stay out of Scottish affairs. Will you do that?

Your links are to opinion pieces in a right wing publication by an author with a book to sell. Not exactly evidence.

As a yes voting rangers supporting atheist from a protestant family I am not sure any of the local priests would be that interested in my views on your conspiracy theory.

You never clarified what mess you are refering to?

You really do talk some crap, don't you Solo. Daily Rectum? What on earth are you jibbering about there? I assume you mean the Daily Record? I chose that as it is a "Scottish paper", but it isn't the only outlet carrying the story. Tell me which media outlet you agree with and I will quote that one.

The Telegraph?

BBC?

Herald Scotland?

Financial Times?

The Holyrood Magazine?

Spectator?

If none of these meet with your approval, do let me know...

I see my prediction was accurate enough though, your "reply" was nothing more than some snivelling remark that fails to address the facts of the matter.

I take it this guy knows what he is talking about. I think my point was clearly proven, Vatican influence in the Indy Ref was clear. They just can't keep their nose out of other folks business. Got a World to rule ya know!

Anyway, i'm outta here.

a reply to: DrunkYogiyes because referencing a blog is generally considered irrefutable evidence......
Pity your leaving I was looking forward to your explanation of what mess or indeed why you referenced the IRA in a thread about Scottish independence.
However I think anyone reading your post above can probably make an educated guess about your world view.

Although I agree with most of your post, I have to stop you on the IRA thing, more than 100 Scottish soldiers lost their lives fighting those bastards for Queen and country.

Sod the IRA, BNP, SNP, EDL and Britain First.....we're one kingdom, united, regardless of colour or creed.

Blooming well said.
i live up north and can understand anger at down south because of the way money is spent but I remember the history between us all and know it has made us who we are.
If aliens came down they would demand to talk to us first English Scottish Welsh and northern Irish because we are such an amazing mix of culture, history and just being us...British.
We all love a beer and all know we have each others backs.
Lets not think as the UK as politics but as a group of people all in it together.
Heck I would stand by any UKian first before anyone else.

With regards to how they spend money - you have to consider that the bulk of the UK population lives below the Watford gap (both London and Birmingham are, as well as other major cities).

Also, the South East (excluding London) actually has the lowest spending per head in the entire UK, with the top 5 regions in order being:

  1. Northern Ireland
  2. Scotland
  3. Wales
  4. London
  5. North East

And here is another interesting point:

In 2013/14, public spending per head in the UK as a whole was £8,936. In England, it was
£8,678 (3% below the UK average). This compares with:
• Scotland: £10,275 (15% above the UK average)
• Wales: £9,924 (11% above the UK average)
• Northern Ireland £10,961 (23% above the UK average).

That's fair enough woogle but consider this.

1. The Vatican covertly supported the SNP during the Indy Ref as even respected Catholic Historian Professor Tom Gallagher admitted.

blogs.spectator.co.uk...

2. Vatican Priests where involved in IRA bombing campaigns during the 1970's. One of the priests was the IRA's officer commanding the Provos' North Antrim Brigade.

Three more IRA priests in Claudy link

www.theguardian.com...

Did the Vatican reprimand the Priests in any way? Well no, according to Proinsias O'Mianain, a leading figure in the Irish language movement and a Catholic.

'These people should have been reported to the police as soon as their murderous activities came to light. But instead the Church just moved them to remote parishes in the Irish Republic ... and then engaged in a conspiracy of silence which blocked investigations.'

So as you can see woogle, when the Vatican is involved the IRA is never far away.

The sooner the Scots do one the better.
The rest of the UK will carry on just fine, we do not depend on Scotland for anything at all, and even if we did I'd be happy to struggle without them if it meant not having to listen to their continual whinging all the time.
...oh and I laugh at the 56 SNP MP's who can do pretty much nothing in Parliament lol

Nope, don't be silly, no whinging from me like the Scots are doing incessantly.
I would love them to leave the UK, it is rather boring listening to them bleat that the UK is dealing them such a hard set of cards all the time.
Do one Scotland, you voted overwhelmingly for a party which wants independence, so just go, quicker the better.

There is absolutely no argument to convince me that the rest of the UK depends on Scotland being part of it and as they are whinging so much I say go.
The only thing I would advocate is strong control at the Scottish border because they will be the weak link as they drop to their knees with begging mouths to the EU, and I wouldn't want all the immigrants they will welcome coming South.
