America launched a raid on 158 state regulation Iraq

09/13/2014 AD. At 09:42 America launched an air strike on 158 sites regulated by the state since the start of operations in Iraq last month, and American planes carried out raids on Friday destroyed armored vehicles belonging to the organization near Mosul Dam.

Aljazeera

Aljazeera is reporting that the US have already begun air strikes... nothing about it on MSN.

I wonder who is telling the truth?

If you click on the link... you will have to translate the page, but interesting to see what they are reporting.

?

yes just found some info here:

US Begins Carrying Out Airstrikes against Islamic State

since August 7... so Aljazeera are correct. Not much on MSN about it though. Most of the general public still think it is in the preliminary stages...

only info here on MSN was dropping food/water aid into that area.

Must have different news depending on the Country you live.

I would be interested to find out how many other Australians, like myself actually knew of the air strikes.

MSN sucks.

Ok cool, I'm with you now.

As for how much the Australian MSM is reporting on it, well I wouldn't know as I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I usually just stick with ABC news, which I don't consider MSM.

How many times do we have to bomb a country before
we get their oil fields?

Bring back the gas wars!

it is quite misleading...

especially with this article from BBC:

Russia warns US against strikes on Islamic State

reading that headline makes you think they haven't done anything about it as yet.

The Russians supplied Iraq jets before any US airstrikes occurred too, they deny supplying pilots, but the Iraqi airforce didn't have pilots that can fly them, yet missions were flown against ISIS too soon for them to have been trained.

wow, well that makes me question Russia's involvement. Perhaps it is a case of black and white...anything the US does, Russia disagrees?

Your very intelligent AlphaHawk. Thank you for your help.

You couldn't get this news where you're at, might as well keep checking ATS for any updates as opposed to MSM.

ABC sources Reuters and AP, for example, which is as MSM as other alphabet news sharing the same.

True, although I've found Reuters to be ok most times.

Like I said, many sources will help paint a more complete picture

Even CNN posted several weeks ago that some kind of air strikes had already occurred.

What Obama discussed in his speech last week was a greater and more ambitious strategy to ostensibly attack ISIS.

However, as a person who has been studying the ME conflicts over the past couple years, my mind tells me that this is just another phase in the plan to knock out the Assad regime and then possibly target Iran.

Seven countries in five years baby.
