From the VID...just simple AA batteries so should be the same at 1.5 volts.

A lot of the comments under this video say that this is fake??? I would really like to know if it is or not before I waste a 6v battery. Does anyone have an old one they can try it on??

If this is true, then we all owe Jude some of our savings.

Crossing my fingers because Christmas is coming and batteries are a bi*#! to buy. You could save some serious money if you could do this.

That's what I said above you. People were pissed in the comment section. I think the uploader works for Duracell or energizer....

Your images make me think this depends on the brand. Some of them are AA, some are D cell.

It would depend on how they are put in series/parallel.

You have 32 of them, so I'm guessing 4 in series, 8 in parallel

I know it looks amazing but there are countless fake videos like these around youtube and you need to double-check, triple-check and check for yourself. Maybe you'll open a real 6V battery and you end up spilling the content all over and possibly hurt yourself.

Also some sites are saying true while others say false...

I'm sure someone here has an old one handy that they can check. It sure would be nice if it were possible, even if it were only a certain brand or two.

Nice hack. Theres a few other larger batterys that contain multiple of other sizes, none spring to mind right now though.

i bought a handy gadget recently to charge up my rechargeable AA batterys.

This is especially handy for camping - a 4 at a time AA SOLAR recharger. You pop in your 4 battery, turn it over exposing the solar cell and leave it in the sun. Done. No mains power needed!
