What Obama’s should have done if he was a real Leader

Here's what he should have done:

Call an INTERNATIONAL emergency

Called on the UN for the member states to get involved and pass a resolution to create an international force of 100,000

Called for a peace conference in Syria between the FSA and Assad regime and a ceasefire between the combatants of the FSA( if there are any) and the Assad forces and to join the coalition force of 100,000 troops.

(There is precedent of two warring factions allying together to both fight a mutual enemy and that is in China before WWII when the Japanese empire viciously attacked China that facilitated the warring Chinese factions of the communist of Mao Zedong and the nationalists of Chiang Kai-shek who were hardened enemies, joining forces together to fight the Japanese empire and together they helped defeat the Japanese in WWII)

Demand the Gulf States and Turkey get in line or be ostracized and demand they also
join the coalition force of the 100,000 expeditionary force…

The only way this is going to turn out right is if ISISL is a paper tiger…not what their all cracked up to be.
Think about whom they have beat in war: the sorry Syrian army, the non existent FSA, and the weak Iraqi army and defenseless villagers.
When they have ever gone up against a viable force they have gotten beaten. It seems to me they have taken advantage of the weak just like vultures and when the strong approach they recoil.

If Obama does what he should do, that is ally with the Syrian Army, then this could be over quick, relatively speaking.

The other way this will work is if this ISIL army is but a fake put together giant psyop creation (a possibility) then this is all in-fact a ruse to take out Assad.

Once Again Obama Shows That He Is Clueless About What Is Going On In The Middle East

"Why would Barack Obama want to give hundreds of millions of dollars of weapons to groups inside Syria that are selling weapons to ISIS and regularly fighting alongside them? Is he really that clueless about what is going on in the Middle East? The FSA and other groups of "moderate" fighters inside Syria do not consider ISIS to be an enemy. Rather, they consider ISIS to be an important ally in the struggle to overthrow the Syrian government. In fact, many "moderate" units have actually joined ISIS in recent months. If Obama gives more weapons to the "moderate" fighters in Syria, it is inevitable that a lot of them will end up in the hands of ISIS. In a previous article, I already discussed how ISIS is talking over vast stretches of Syria and Iraq using mostly American weapons. If the Obama administration goes ahead with this plan to arm "moderates" in Syria, it is just going to make ISIS even stronger.
Without a doubt, ISIS is an organization that is absolutely seething with evil. They have been running around beheading journalists, crucifying their enemies in public and even cutting children in half. ISIS has promised to drown America "in blood", and the only way to appease them would be for every single one of us to convert to their version of Islam.
But Obama's strategy to "defeat ISIS" makes absolutely no sense at all.
First of all, if you want to defeat someone you don't give weapons to their friends.
According to Fox News, the White House actually believes that the FSA and other "moderate" groups inside Syria will act as "ground troops" in our fight against ISIS...
According to one White House aide, the president is escalating the call for more aid to the rebels so they could act as the ground troops to support potential U.S. airstrikes against ISIS.
Can you imagine the laughter that will ensue when ISIS leaders read this?
Secondly, if you want to conduct air strikes against ISIS, you have got to get permission from the nation where you will be conducting those air strikes.
The Obama administration has permission from the Iraqi government to conduct air strikes against ISIS targets inside Iraq, and the Pentagon says that those air strikes have been effective.
However, it is being reported that Obama now wants to bomb ISIS targets inside Syria...
President Barack Obama, who will set out a broad long-term strategy to defeat the Islamic State in a speech to Americans on Wednesday evening, is prepared to authorize air strikes against the group in Syria, U.S. officials said.
Pursuing the Islamist radicals inside Syria would complement an expanded military campaign to back government forces in Iraq following the formation of a more inclusive government in Baghdad.

But Obama does not have permission from the Syrian government to do that. In fact, the Syrian government is warning that any U.S. air strikes within their borders will be considered an act of war.
Do we really want to declare war on Syria on top of everything else?
Sadly, Obama doesn't seem to think that he needs permission to do much of anything.
In fact, he insists that he doesn't even need the permission of Congress to start conducting air strikes inside Syria...

President Obama is prepared to use U.S. military airstrikes in Syria as part of an expanded campaign to defeat the Islamic State and does not believe he needs formal congressional approval to take that action, according to people who have spoken with the president in recent days.

We have a man occupying the White House running around doing whatever he wants without even having an elementary understanding about what is going on over in the Middle East.

And he has the audacity to stand up in front of the American people and "explain" to us why we need to spend hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to arm groups that are clearly aligned with ISIS.

Below, I want to share an extended excerpt from a recent article by Paul Joseph Watson. In his article, Watson lists numerous examples that show that the "moderate" rebels and ISIS are still very much working together...

The lunacy of such a policy is illustrated by the fact that Bassel Idriss, commander of an FSA-run rebel brigade, recently admitted that Washington-backed “moderate” rebels are still collaborating with ISIS.

“We are collaborating with the Islamic State and the Nusra Front by attacking the Syrian Army’s gatherings in … Qalamoun,” Idriss told Lebanon’s Daily Star. “Let’s face it: The Nusra Front is the biggest power present right now in Qalamoun and we as FSA would collaborate on any mission they launch as long as it coincides with our values.”

A July report in Stars and Stripes also documented how the 1,000 strong Dawud Brigade, which had previously fought alongside the FSA against the Assad regime, defected in its entirety to join ISIS."

Immediately suspend Foreign Aid to any Country that will not help.

Get a clue obama is just another pawn and hes keeping the usa on par with the past 50 years, arming rebels aka terrorist since the end of ww2.

But Obama want's Syria's leader out so he can help Israel with the pipeline they want to put there. Not to mention they want their banking there.

Your ideas would be viable if the world actually worked the way that TPTB would have us believe. The fact of the matter is, as you even stated, the US has a vested interest in seeing a leader change in Syria. Assad won't play ball with them so he has to go. It's all an effort to protect the petrodollar and many people were able to predict that the US would try to go into Syria militarily long ago.

Syria also repeated its warning that the US had to co-ordinate with the Syrian government before launching air strikes on its territory.

"Any action of any kind without the consent of the Syrian government would be an attack on Syria," National Reconciliation Minister Ali Haidar said on Thursday.

Last month Syria offered to help the US fight Islamic State, however the US ruled that out.

Why would they rule out bringing the current Syrian regime into their 'broad coalition' if the mission was eradicate ISIS?

LOL 100,000 man force from the UN? Is that suppose to be a joke? The UN can barely fill out a couple thousands troops when they are needed. And your not going to get a peace conference done in Syria because Assad and the FSA see ISIS as a bump in the road and each other as the real enemy. Not to mention you left out the Kurds and the several other factions in Syria which is almost a six sided war. And what is with this 100,000 man force? The one thing the people fighting ISIS do not need is more troops. What they do need is supply, intel and support. And brilliant idea making demands on the Gulf states and Turkey. When the US loses access to every base in the region and gas hits $10 a gallon that might turn out not to have been the best idea.

As much as we all hate ISIS, we are letting our hate for the people blind us from the reality of the situation. That being, they are practicing their ideology. Yes, it's bloody, messy and barbaric. All these visuals though are a smokescreen for the fact that you cannot kill an ideology. You can kill people, but you can't kill what they stand for. What are going to do......nuke the region and kill 'em all? If you believe that will solve something, you're not paying attention. Young Americans are joining their cause. What does that tell you? It tells me that you can't go to one region of the world and "degrade and annihilate" the enemy. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, yet the majority of Americans want just that. They've been duped into thinking that the rest of world can gang up on these people and actually make a difference. KILL, KILL, KILL !!!! That will solve our problems.

If that's not bad enough, other countries are being recruited by Kerry into thinking this is a good idea. Now, I'm all for countries working together towards a common goal.........but this? This is pathetic people, it really is. Peoples' ways of thinking don't just materialize out of thin air. If ISIS has an ideology they want to practice that seems barbaric to the rest of world, which it is, why doesn't ANYone want to sit back and ask why? Why and how did the rest of the world let these people get to this point? What exactly IS their point? Does anyone know? Does anyone give a sh*t? I'm not saying that we all need to sit down and talk it out, there is no talking to those people. I'm saying that if we actually cared about other people, countries and how all of our actions affect others then we may get to the point as a race of people who all share the same spinning rock, where what is happening now.......never happens again.

Communication kills problems before they start. Since that's not an option with ISIS at this point it's obvious to me at least that we screwed ourselves into this mess.

No, but you could bring these distorters of religion to the level of Nazis or Klansmen, they no longer are a threat so there is precedent in recent history of an extreme ideology being minimized such as also the Japanese in WWII.

The people being trained would the people already fighting ISIS of which large parts are nothing more than poorly trained militias. So the Kurds, FSA, etc. It is a pretty common sense idea really. Training the people already in the fight is a no brainer. It would truly stupid not to do it.
