While I think war is abhorrent (as it should be) I am quite glad to see that the Kurdish women are being treated as equal in the defense of their land.

Well for all you newbees Kurdish women have been packing weapons, smoking and fighting for quite a long time now. Don't let anyone highjack this like its some new thing that came about do to PC pressure.
1980ish probably PKK
If you were a male solider and you came upon this women reloading or something......could you drive a bayonet into her or put a round in her? Don't get mad at me someone has to ask.
but they talk just as tough as they prowl the battlefield clutching automatic rifles and vowing vengeance for those victimized by the Islamic State.
Its not like a secret weapon has suddenly been unleashed on anybody.

I for one am glad 'the Kurdish' men and women are fighting for their survival.
Anyone who puts a major hurting on ISIS are awesome in my book. They've been able to hold their own and take ground while the fully equipped Iraqi army turn tail and run often leaving ISIS with new weapons and needed war supplies.
I'm glad those ISIS fighters who see a female with a weapon s# themselves.
More power to them.
