Thats just it, you judged ALL Christians in your post by the actions of a handful of people that you have found fault with. There are over 2 billion Christians living today, I doubt you have interacted with them all. It was the blanket statements that you made in this thread and many others that frustrate me and prompt me to respond.

You have the right to think what you will but to condemn an entire group of people based on race, religion, an individual or sexual preference is simply wrong.

You don't know me. I am a Christian. Yes, I do sin, not of any sins that you have mentioned in that last blast of yours though.

I am sorry that you cannot celebrate Christmas in the same way I do. You appear to hate every thing connected to the Birth of Jesus who we believe is the Savior of the World. Jesus is the reason for the season. My faith tells me this is so.

First of all I think Kinglizard you are over you head now, perhaps you should take a few minutes calm down and then read what you have posted.

This is just a friendly hint.

NO....not all Christians are that way....

Guess you missed that part of my post hu!? I do not group all Christians together...as a matter of fact I have met some very nice and non judgmental Christians here....I would strongly suggest that you read post well before accusing.

I know a lot of people that still believe that Santa is real.

Well laugh all you want, but yes I do. Did you know that Isaiah foretold that many many years in advance, even the town upon which the child would be born, even the Muslims believe this one.

Darn I forgot the name of that religious group.

No my wife works and she and I make a great team! She is a Christian also by the way.

No..I do not judge others...but yes, I have called out and asked those that are so hate filled and still call themselves loving Christians, how they can sin while hating others for sinning. NO....not all Christians are that way....but there are a lot of them here that I see doing this. We all know who they are...

Well for one, i don't hate anyone just because they sin, you seem to fail to grasp what I am saying. I admit I sin, we all do! I try not to sin but the flesh is weak and needs the forgiveness to become acceptable to the creator. You and your wiccan faith are taught to hate Christians because there is not room for compromise in Christianity, you either believe or you don't. Go ahead and hate me, doesn't bother me in the slightest, but at least get your facts right. I have never said that drinking is a sin, but drunkenness is. If drinking itself was a sin then Christ would have sinned and the whole thing would be moot. He drank wine you know.

We all sin, some just recognize it and ask for forgiveness for the weakness of the flesh.

But they accuse us of hate when they fail to hear the message, but this was also foretold,

Luk 6:22 Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.

Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.

Mat 10:22 All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

And in these times of celebrating the birth of the Christ, it is good to remember what actually we are celebrating, even if they try to take His name out of everything to do with the season..For the Christ was born just as was prophesied.

The prophecy itself.....
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

and from one of the oldest books known, even then Christ was known, long before his Virgin birth,

Job 19:25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.

Ya know...I kept reading that and kept thinking...what's wrong with that...then it hit me....you have "sexual preference" written there...I don't think I'm the one in this thread you need to direct that to.......

The trouble with polls is they are rarely acurate and rarely reflect the true thoughts of the population. (the population thinks?..lol)

Nobody polled me.
Did you participate in this poll?
Who did they poll?

Some people say what they THINK you want to hear.
Some people will say they believe in something because it is PC to do so.
Some ppl just lie.

The ppl who take these polls also often take them in areas they know will reflect somewhat the results they want.

Ed...I'm happy you have such great faith in your religion.....that's a good thing. None of it can be proven at all, so yes, faith is important...again though, I believe in mine as much as you do yours, but neither one, or any faith for that matter, doesn't make it so just because we believe with all our hearts. My problem and many others here I think, is that you seem to start so many threads against certain groups of people, it makes you look suspect, you have to admit that. However, ....I, for one, also get tired of the old, I'm Christian so I'm forgiven rhetoric
don't throw stones when you live in glass houses.....

If you read the link ed provided you will see how misleading the poll is, not they did not call you or me but only hardly over 1000 people to said that is the seventy percent of the population.

I think ed just won the ATS top award on misleading threads.

congratulations ed.

My apologies, I guess you dont lump most Christians onto the same heap. Then again I do see many posts that support my earlier statement. I think I will stand by it. Ill let you decide

LOL Well, Lizard......... again, you need to read the post before you go through all that time searching my threads!! I can't believe you even did that
...I would have to agree with Marg and nicely suggest that you calm down, to go to that much trouble you must be upset. No, I do not jumble all Christians together...as three of my post that "you" have quoted above will attest to...I have in bold lettering the word "most" and there are many others...however, unlike you, I am not going to go searching thorough old posts

and you do not understand what they call a sampling and how they conduct polls, sometimes they can be very accurate indeed. I would not be surprised that most Americans consider themselves Christians.

What is so misleading about it? Its Newsweek so that should be good enough for you, maybe not becuase it says virgin birth and that is what pisses you off huh?

Ed give some prof of virgin birth, man that is all I want some prof that Mary, Jesus and Joseph were real that's all I want.

Remember faith, is not the same as real. Faith is the believe of something that can not be proved but is real to you as long as you believe in it.

Sorry misleading.

Well, you might...I'm not going to go looking up in a dictionary for you, but I do believe that "Most" means.."the majority...the greater part of" or will be something similar to that anyway.....I am also no longer going to be pulled into anything worse with you Lizard. It's well known by many you don't care for me much and I can see you trying to draw me into an unwarranted warning as yes...uh....you are are a mod. So regardless of what I may think of you're opinions....your due an amount of respect....as a mod.

This isnt true and I hope you dont believe this. I may disagree with you but it has everything to do with religious issues rather than personal ones.

Im surprised you would think or accuse me of doing such a thing. I have never abused my mod status and never will. I cant believe you would throw this accusation around.

Personally, I don't believe in the virgin birth and I don't see it as an essential belief, although most, if not all, Christians would disagree with me. Jesus taught that to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, one must be born again, by which he meant that one must be born of the spirit, just as we were born of the flesh. All the rest is extraneous.

What I find interesting is that the high and mighty tolerant left here is so hostile to Christianity and its beliefs. One would think that the tolerance and diversity crowd would lead by example, but I guess maybe I have been misled.
