Based on the evidence

Unlike what you say, there is no evidence, there is a dispute whether he was on Estonian or Russian side of the border.

Russia is the one disputing that. The fact it came just after Obama visited and gave his speech further reinforces the fact Russia is making this up just to make Estonia look bad.

its the same tactic Russia has used for decades and since Putin likes living in the past.

You don't need smoke grenades and jamming equipment to take one person into custody on the Russia side of the border.

The fact it came just after Obama visited and gave his speech - is a fact
the fact Russia is making this up - is a conjecture.

That this is even an issue suggests that the border in not clearly marked nor heavily controlled, making it easy for a Russian hit squad to cross over undetected. Incidentally, the Estonians claim that footprints of the squad are clearly visible, but since I have seen no photographs I will simply report this as a claim.

A joint investigation by Estonian and Russian border patrol also noted the tracks crossed into Estonia, not into Russia.

Officials: Estonian Counterintelligence Officer Abducted to Russia at Gunpoint From Estonian Soil

Some Issues Russia cant answer -

However, Russian border guards said earlier in the day they had no knowledge of the incident. The ISS also said that Russian border guards went to the scene with them and established that there had been a struggle. Nor did the Russian side provide any evidence that Kohver had strayed into Russia.

one would think if he strayed into Russia, Russian border guards would have been the ones who arrested him and would also know about the situation.

As I stated before about Russia throwing a temper tantrum -
Russia Wants to Protect Language Rights of Russians in Estonia - 03/2014

The three Baltic states that border Russia are concerned they may be Moscow’s next target and with good reason. Russia said they do not appreciate the language policy towards ethnic Russians in Estonia and they should be protected. It is the same excuse Moscow gave to justify their occupation of Crimea. Estonia might be next.

Russia fully supported the protection of the rights of linguistic minorities, a Moscow diplomat told the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, according to a summary of the session issued by the U.N.'s information department.

"Language should not be used to segregate and isolate groups," the diplomat was reported as saying. Russia was "concerned by steps taken in this regard in Estonia as well as in Ukraine," the Moscow envoy was said to have added.

The text of the Russian remarks, echoing long-standing complaints over Estonia's insistence that the large Russian minority in the east of the country should be able to speak Estonian, was not immediately available.

Russia officially annexed Crimea from Ukraine on Tuesday after 90% of the Crimeans voted to join the Russian Federation. Vice President Joe Biden flew to Poland on Monday and visited leaders of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia on Tuesday to assure them the US will defend their NATO allies.

Putin promised he would not invade east Ukraine or other countries, but world leaders do not believe him.

"This situation is a direct threat to our regional security," [Lithuanian President Andris] Grybauskaite said, denouncing "the use of brutal force to redraw the map of Europe."

On March 9, Russia’s ambassador to Latvia raised eyebrows when he told a radio station Russia will grant citizenship to ethnic Russians in the country. Latvia told the West they could be the next country Putin feels he needs to protect.

This border incident is nothing more than Putin showing off his ovaries again.

Don't be silly.
The Countries of The World create
plenty of problems on their own.

They wager that The United States will
respond, and bet accordingly.

So we still live Russia is it?

Ok. Cool.

They comit an act of war and kidnap a person in his own country and the Putin lovers all say the official story out of.Russia is true. Cool

You know we had American Nazis before WW2....They took the stories out of Germany as being true as well. Then the war happened and they no longer felt.comfortable among their people.

History will repeat itself.

Estonia is in big $hit if what the OP says is true.

Just look at the mess that USA has made on Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and is now trying in the Ukraine !

The Crimea made a good decision to break away from the Ukraine and are getting on with rebuilding part of the infrastructure network the USA always try to bomb first so that US contractors get the rebuilding contracts after "Liberation"

Estonia needs to steer clear of any help the USA or IMF has to offer, keep away from Russia else they too might be taken over and have Nazi's doing the dirty work before a US puppet is implanted.

The USA biggest manufacturing base is military and they will give Estonia a few free samples to start a war, get you hooked and then sell you a load of junk hardware at top buck when you become desperate as someone attacks you back.

Granddaddy Bush will tell you all about it.

We all know that the CIA does drugs because they were caught and poppy production in Afghanistan is up something like 4000% after the USA liberated the place but these drugs don't do half as much harm as the military drugs that the USA is trying to export around the world.

Estonia just say NO

Crimea did not break away and repeating Russian lies wont change that fact. Ukraine was invaded and Crimea is occupied territory.

If the "vote" was lawful it would not be rejected by everyone except Russia.

I don't think Putin is a bully, but rather the underdog who's not 'Putin' up with the bigger bully anymore. Whatever choices he's doing now is part of the chess game he's winning. What it boils down to is, either be proactive and do what he's got to do, or just sit and let the US continue manipulating the world economy.
