Black On White Hate Crime In Springfield, MO

I see videos like the one posted below and I get beyond angry, and not even sad anymore... In what world is it okay to act like this? Two white folks just walking and then attacked by a group of black kids... Why don't I hear Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson making a big deal about this? Let me guess, these kids are just misunderstood and were walking back from bible camp or some soup kitchen where they just donated some time...

I'm actually surprised I haven't read this headline yet "Racist white dude attacks eight college bound black youths..... Next up on msnbc...."

Concealed carry is needed for times like this. If I witnessed this (or was a victim to it) I would HAPPILY SHOOT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM DEAD... People like these kids don't deserve a place on this Earth and they don't even deserve to be placed in jail. Lets not even waste taxpayer money when (hopefully) they're caught...

I honestly feel so bad for these two in the vid. And I give lots of respect for the girl for trying to defend her man. Too bad those cowards were swinging on her too... I wish their were some upstanding citizens there to help these two out...

Don't know about any of you but I'm sick of these types of incidents... I really don't see how this is funny to see dumb (insert whatever word you want here)..... Sorry for the rant....

And just casue jesse and al aren't making a big deal about this, doesn't mean some one else wont. If you want to see the knockout game, which this is what it seemed to be, get talked about and get up in arms about watch some fox news and you will get your wish.

There is far more black on black violence than the media knows what to do with except that it doesn't boost television ratings. The world isn't black and white unless you're the mainstream media.

Happens all the time. People of different races attacking their own and others.

I don't know what you're referencing... Is the video a joke? No, this did happen... Is it a joke that I'm furious with black kids running around attacking (non blacks) in the knockout game? I rarely read about any other race doing this, but I can find you MANY stories of the knockout game being done by a particular race.....

It is a deplorable act for anyone to attack anyone else, especially in this way, whether the people doing the attacking or black or white. However, I think what the OP was saying, and it is true, that obviously it DOES matter to the media. If this were a black couple getting attacked by a group of white people, this would be a hot button issue right now and would be broadcast on every media outlet across the US. Racist groups like those the OP mentioned, those who only care about helping black people, will ignore incidents such as these. I like how it is not okay to call these black people racist, but if the attack were the other way around you could bet that they would be saying it was race-motivated. I can see Jesse Jackson making a big deal out of it. Using the same definition of racism that he uses, he himself would be considered racist.

Obviously you have a problem with what is going on in ferguson, don't beat around the bush just say it.
Why are we holding cops to the same standard as street gangs and criminals?
Since they do it then we can't get mad when a cop does it? That doesn't make any sense.

You have every right to be mad about the video, just don't see why it has to be a race issue and not just a humanity issue.

It's not race bating at all...the fact is a couple of what I perceive to be black kids assaulting what appears to be two white people...those are the facts...and it is a big deal because their needs to be a show of balance..it's that simple.

So again it's not race baiting and to be fair the knockout game in the eyes of the news is old news...

Jesus... how many times does it have to be explained? The random racist punk isn't going to be held to the same standards as a police officer. Who should they protest in this situation? Black people?

THOSE KIDS WEREN'T COPS. My taxes didn't pay for them to attack that couple so there's no real institution to be angry toward. There's no "Association of Punk Kids Who Love Hate Crimes" to picket the office of. There's nothing to do about it. In fact, the only cops in this video were the two who were there to help out.

So quit pointing at random black people hitting random white people and comparing it to cops killing unarmed people. Not the same thing. At all.

How do you want me to deal with it? Yes, I am racist towards kids like this in the video... I hate people like this who purposely attack others. trying to cause pain to total strangers who've done nothing wrong... I don't believe they should be breathing... So if that makes me racist than I'm racist I guess. And this is a rant thread, not a "lets be logical" thread...

And maybe I get sick of the Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, etc. type stories, but when white people are attacked it's A-OK... The media loves throwing white on black crimes down our throat, but when we reverse the races they are scared to touch it...

I do hold humanity to a higher standard. But we don't know where the kids in that video live. They don't all work for some common organization that our taxes fund. So there's nobody to be angry with but those particular kids.

Your post I was responding to asked why nobody reacts to this the same way Ferguson just reacted to the police shooting. I'm pretty sure I made it clear exactly why. It's because there's nobody to riot against or protest. It's why we don't protest serial killers or start riots over rapists. It's because they don't represent anything but themselves. Just like those kids in the video. They don't speak for anybody but themselves and to say they do is, in fact, a racist assumption that we normally try to avoid.

I think that people are just getting frustrated, with the lack of attention to detail concerning race. If the attackers were white and the victims black, it would have been all over the news. But the MSM glosses over it. Or doesn't even report it, except maybe, just maybe locally.

I have to admit. These days when I see a adult black gentleman or lady, I nod a nod and bid them a good day...but when I see a group of black youths, my shields go up.

Well, if these kids come from low-income areas, there is a likely chance their family gets some handout from the Govt. which is paid for by the taxpayers, ie, you and me... So, it really isnt so apples to oranges...
