Esoteric Meaning in Music - Panic! At the Disco - Gospel for the Fallen

When my son asked if I would take him and a group of friends to Memphis to see Panic and Fallout Boy, I agreed as a senior gift. After researching the lyrics, and then seeing the bands live, I realize something of a theme in all of their music. Today, I will use one song from the group Panic! to show the same underlying story emerging from the lyrics of Gospel for the Fallen. The following commentary and criticism falls under fair use.

Gospel is a message of salvation from the human condition and body.

This is gospel for the fallen ones
Locked away in permanent slumber
Assembling their philosophies
From pieces of broken memories

---The earlier theme of my threads covered Angels above (Groom) and Children below (Bride). We are entangled between heaven and Earth. 10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

In the lyric above, we see the idea of the Dweller on the Threshold. This is the entity caught between heaven above and the material image below. We are an image, which necessitates the reflection between. Since we are born again (Baptism into the river of life), we have memories of our past, similar to the Matrix movies, "residual self image." Note the lyrics above again.

---Gnashing teeth is a reference to those who are exiled and locked in darkness (amnesia) as part of the involution into Earth. Conspiring against the odds is fighting God's destiny. The 'us' mentioned above are the Sons of Darkness.

---If you know the previous information, this is clear. Falling apart is chaos. Unity brings together.

---Vagabond is someone who wanders form place to place with no home. Ne'er-do-well is a person who cannot do right. They are the unrightoues of the Earth. Essentially, all of us. This is an idle person, which is the devil's workshop. Confessing apostasies and imperfect imposters is a reference to the false priests of the Roman Catholic Church.

---The last judgment of mankind is not water, but fire. Water is our baptism into the flood of the river of life. We are the beasts (animal nature and body) in the Ark (earth), traveling to the end of the flood (Salvation). Noah is actually an allegory for baptismSee this thread for why Noah is baptism. . You must be born again. After the flood, the rainbow appears (diversity of seed), then the fire comes to burn the chaff. Fighting to the end is never acknowledging God's authority.

---After you watch the video, consult the symbolism from the video as a comparison to the last thread of the Dweller on the threshold and man under the mask (created body). These guys likely know what the lyrics mean. It is very obvious they are either acknowledging this story or ware influenced by another source. Either way, the symbolism is clear.



The patient is on the operating table having his heart cut out (seat of emotion and soil for the seed). "If you love me let me go" from this body. They hold him down, continuing to cut his heart away. They try to cover his mouth to shut him up. After being put under, he is then dressed in a new suit (body) and prepped to be someone else. He is then encased in a crate (grave). Baptized in water. Again, what is he buried alive in? WATER (baptism)! Again, "If you love me let me go," as he breaks free from the water. He breaks the wall dividing. He is then back on the table again, but this time, there is a rope in his chest where his heart is tied up. Representing the silver cord, they take it out and tie him up in the mortal coil of life. He continues to get away in vain.

Wait are you rearranging Hebrew letters to make new English words? That is some next level Glenn Beck stuff right there. You know you can't really do that to prove a point right? It doesn't make any sense.

Now that you are in the mood to hear more, consider Johnny Cash's version of the very same song. Virgins trim your wicks. Although this gets ahead of my threads a bit, Johnny says, "The Whirlwind is in the Thorn Tree," just as Sister Sally sits on a thistle in the song, "All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth." Sister Sally is a NUN, or the letter NUN (Seed). She sits on a thistle (Crown of thorns in the head of Christ / Seed of salvation). All he wants for Christmas are his two front teeth (Letter Shin). And you thought Two Front Teeth was a secular song. Not a chance. The seed of Christ (NUN) sits on a thistle. Until he gets his Shin as part of his name, he waits. It's all he wants for Christmas, just as Johnny tells the virgins to trim their wicks. The whirlwind is in the thorn tree of course. If you don't read symbolism, then start. It's the only way you will understand the Bible. Seed must be opened in good soil.



The man that wrote Two Front Teeth has the same message as Johnny. The Whirlwind is in the Thorn Tree, but I get ahead of myself.

Aleph Bet is the word Father. See thread: Hidden in the Hebrew Letters. He writes the Word. Arrange how you like, the answer will always be the Son of God.

Words derive meaning from roots. English or not, the same meaning carries in the phonics. The Aleph Bet is Phoenician.

I had a copy of the New Testament given to me by a friend many years ago. He grew up in a strict Catholic household. He was also a lover of heavy metal music. Said the devil has all the good music.

We talked a lot about religion. He knew the churche's version very well and I was interested more in the esoteric. Anyway, this bible he gave me was full (and I mean full) of a side-notes with lyrics from various bands, tying them to passages.

I'm not sure I understand why you are singling out some songs to ascribe an esoteric meaning to but, also, in this bible, was a frequently, all caps, written statement; "BEWARE FALSE PROPHETS".

I just don't see the point. I love music. I could find inner-meaning in thousands of songs.

Let me give you another example. Ear is a seed. The same word I added a Hey to making Hear is the same letter that was added to Abram's name to make Abraham. Once he opened his arms up to God, he heard what was said. His Heart was changed. Tav is T. It is the mark of the cross. Add a Tav to Hear and you get the soil, or hearT. Move the Hey to the end, and you now have the location of the soil where we listen--Earth. That's all Glenn Beckish like you state, but it gets better.

Ear is the Hebrew word spelled from the three letter root:



It cuts the seed. This is the harvest of information we are here to acomplish, or beholding truth, or Hearing to the Heart.

Can I prove this to you? The same word root above makes the word balance, or what the ear does. The letter Bet is house, or what the ear beholds. Remember that Father is Aleph Bet, or Strong House. Bet is the shape of the Cochlea. The Cochlea contains water in two sacks that balance the body. Ear / Balance. Babel can be unwound.

I'm quoting you here on purpose. I want anyone who reads this to know what I am replying to. The video you post has meaning that is parallel to my last two threads. It is the very same story. While we listen to these songs, we have no clue the true meaning of the words. Until someone starts to connect the story to the higher truth, the truth is ignored for the song. Guess who hears the song and understands? If it is true we are Angels above and children below, the Angel hears and understands. I am convinced that the songs we listen to, the media we watch and the events of history that unfold are really a narrative for the ones above. We are lucky enough at times to understand here below, but the entire Bible is written in code for those who know the language. We read as the watcher, but the real understanding is realized above. When you watch a video or hear a song, and it has a particular meaning to you, the reason is obvious. You are a dweller on the threshold of another being above. That higher nature is speaking to you (likely screaming at you) to listen and understand. Salvation comes to the virgins who trim their lamps. Like anyone else in this world, I need to heed my own words.

I see our spiritual make up as a cross. You have the angels above you and the fallen below you. Then the accepting you on the left and the rejecting you on the right. The left is the future you and the right is the past you always with you. With so many influences it all becomes confusing to the cross point. The op points to the fact that communication to many influences can be achieved in everyday conversation if you know how to ask the question without freaking anyone out. Sometimes i form the question in my mind then start a conversation about something else and the answer will be there but hidden to our reality.

I could tell you about the influence he was under. The band crumbled under the debauchery. My friend was the only band member to stay out of the mess. He was a Christian. He stood out as a shining light among the others. It was interesting to watch.

Hollywood knows the story. The people in the general public have no clue. The Bible tells the story. Not only is the Bible's outer story correct, the inner story of symbolism tells the same message. Not only does the inner and outer match, but the words and letters then tell the same story again.

As above, so below. As within, so without. All of creation proclaims the message. Baptism is for repentance. If we refuse, fire comes. I need to heed these words.

I agree here, but the right is the truth. In front is likely the past. It's the thing you face. Turning to the cross faces you to an eternal future. Behind, or coming at you until you turn. This is an old Jewish tradition. Look up Hebrew word Aharit.

John 21

He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish

That large number was the seventeenth triangular number (153). It's the measure of the fish, or the square root of 2 and 3 that makes the vesica Pisces (flower of life). Unity from multiplicity. Pythagoras showed us this, but Jesus noted it in the parable of Peter putting on a robe to jump in the water. The robe, of course, is the material body Peter put on to meet Christ on the shore.

This is the same as conservative and liber al. Right hand path and left. Chirality in chemical bonds. One will cure you and one will kill you. Two mirrored things cannot be superimposed on each other. Right hand of God, or where Christ is. Jewish tradition says the same thing. Right is correct.

Front and back denotes time.

Yes, there is an agenda, but they are plainly doing it in a straightforward manner. You don't have to look for esoteric meanings in anything that is straightforward.

I watched the movie Across The Universe with an elderly friend that was so enamored of the Beatles that she constantly talked about her love for them when she was a teenager. So, to show her that the Beatles were encouraging drug use and tantric Hinduism, we watched it. In the middle of the movie she started to cry because she suddenly realized what the songs were about. She replied that she had always thought it was just about having a good time.

But there is nothing esoteric about this, because it is straightforward.

The lyrics in Come Together is a mockery of Jesus Christ. But it isn't hidden knowledge. They even admitted this. There has been no hidden agenda, it has been out in the public knowledge for a long time, Hollywood isn't hiding it at all. Why do you think they have? They have openly admitted it since the beginning of rock and roll and suddenly now people are asking if there is an agenda? What took you so long to figure it out?

It can also be viewed in anatomy. The head and groin and the right and left arm. The left accepts and the right rejects. It is a battle of the ages also. The child in the past fights the man of old. The left accepts and that is why wedding rings are worn on the left. Why is Jesus at the right hand of GOD? He is rejecting the influence that jesus is under in order to make footstools. Look at politics the left progressives accept everything and on the right the conservatives reject much. The heart is the point of the cross. Jesus also said that a wise man carries his heart in his right hand. We shake hands with the right and that has evolved into a fist bump that represents basicaly two magnets repeling eachother in an underhanded sign of spiritual battle. I could take it further to the officer in ferguson. He engauged a suspect on his left side and almost lost his life over it. Only when he faced head on did he gain his ground.

If you're into esoteric messages in music, Led Zeppelin is one of the best examples in my opinion.

This theme runs throughout their work. "Ten Years Gone", "Misty Mountain Hop", "Hey Hey What Can I Do", "Kashmir", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Going to California", plus others all have esoteric knowledge within their lyrics.

Thanks for that. I figured I would eventually get to a few other bands before moving on to some other topic. I want to do some Christmas songs as well. Most people have no idea that Frosty, for instance, is filled with this same story. Two Front Teeth is Amazing if you get it. There are others. Even the story of the writer of two front teeth fits into the meaning. I think he knew what he was writing and hid it in a simple children's song. Possible, he didn't. That would be even better.

Too many songs. Kansas is another. I was good friends with the song writer for America (Dan Peek). He was a Christian. Kansas is another group with a Christian song writer. Kerry Livgrin was a Christian. Wayward Son. Dust in the Wind. All of these carry on the same message.

Yes and monster energy drink is really three Vavs, so they are emulating the number of man (mark of the beast in Christian misunderstanding).

Anyway, those in favor of Chaos do not want the opposite of order, but the synthesis of order and chaos. Look up a fractal image to get an idea of what I mean. All life follows this pattern. It is chaos unfurled to produce a self-sustaining order that is greater than the sum of its parts and works against the deleterious laws of nature.

Backdoor man could be a reference to the Spirit or what's behind (the back of) what can be seen. The physical world is the front door, the Spirit is the backdoor, what's in between is the observer. Spirit (backdoor/behind the image) is the Father or "man" of the house with a front and back door.

We are "Spirit"ual beings having a physical experience. To come in through the back door could represent the Spirit coming into the body at conception in the womb.

I wouldn't expect you to understand though. In your opinion Jesus' parable were meant to taken literally? Or were they symbolism for a greater truth? If they were symbolism or metaphor then you have set a double standard. Or maybe you believe that Jesus is the only one allowed to spread esoteric knowledge through metaphor and symbolism with his parables? Seems like a very narrow-minded way of thinking to me.

Backdoor man is a sexual euphemism for a certain sexual position. I am shocked that you would try to interpret that in such a spiritual manner to make it look like some type of godhood that Led Zeppelin was trying to extoll. Amazing.
