Edmonton Canada UFO August 2 2014

This incredible UFO footage was taken by a couple in South Edmonton Canada on August 2nd 2014. The Footage was taken from close to Highway 14 and RR 214 looking westwards towards South Edmonton. The witnesses said they heard a sound and that it quickly started.............

The object appears to move strangely quickly, which seems to negate any of the usual explanations...

Interesting to say the least....I thought the white ball may have been a balloon until it stopped...it is unidentified just don't believe that Aliens are controlling it...

Her voice sounds contrived. At :52 she says "It knows we can see it thats why its hanging around."

Mmm…errr, meh. Just my take.

I'd have to say that you probably couldn't rule out distant, lighted quadcopter in this video.

Note how the video ends with the object descending toward the ground.

Quadcopter would be about the ONLY conventional explanation I could think of. That or CGI. I'm betting not CGI.

LOL! Ya, definitely not a hoax by the people taking the video - would be a little above their pay grade!

Very cool! Can a drone move like that? I just don't know.

There have been other recent UFO sightings in the South Edmonton area, there was recently an Alien Abduction Symposium which was held up and recently cancelled,there is a very strong suppresive prescence in E-Town.There have been Blue berets sighted frequently and not during regulrly advertised excercises.


There was also a pretty recent sighting in a Southside area called Blue-Quill in Edmonton that is online somewhere.

These things seem to be everywhere even the Great White North.They must have block heaters.

It appears to go in front of the branches a couple of times which is a little bit suspicious, but otherwise its quite good.

In front of branches? or just pixelation?

lol, nice catch. If it went in front of the branches in foreground, then this is a clear hoax- and not even a quadcopter. Thanks for looking into it.

I think the beam is bright enough to make it appear it went in front of the branches. However it clearly descends behind the trees and at a distance. Still could be some type of drone or remote controlled craft, but I'd bet otherwise LOL

Well upon looking at the footage closer, it may be that the beam was bright enough and close enough to "wrap around" the first tree branches as it descends. Because if you watch as it gets further away behind the second tree, it goes BEHIND the tree branches like it should. Wish you would have mentioned that, voidhawk. Now I'm not so sure after closer review. Need more opinions please.

I would attribute the object wrapping around the branch to pixel distortion as well. Normal behavior. Usually what makes CGI stand out is the destabilization of the object, and the irregular focus with other objects in frame.

This is an impressive video. I feel like the object moves intelligently, and descends too fast to be a quadcopter.

Thanks for the awesome post! I give this video my humble opinion of authenticity.

Interesting video, not sure if its real. I live in Edmonton and I've seen a few odd lights in the sky's here.

The individuals taking the video have personified whatever they think they see, while acting like they don't know what it is. Also, August 2 was a Saturday night on what is most likely the busiest long weekend of the summer there could be countless people horsing around with remote controlled toys.

There have been a lot of ufo sightings lately in the Edmonton Canada area in the last 2 weeks. If anybody has more video or information about this or similar experiences please let us know. This is an incredible video, the tree give this a very nice point of reference and as you can see the UFO disappears behind the thicker branches and the way it shines through the smaller ones signifies this is the real thing. Yep! You nailed it Joe! It was taken on an iPhone, it must be the real thing!

i wonder if it has to do with the new piloted green flamed craft the air force is testing. maybe it is its scout UAV.

Nope, it's just a phantom vision plus with an extra LED lamp. You can see the green and red LEDs as it yaws around from back to front. at 25 sec you can see the flashing green showing it's GPS ready

You dont have to live there,just Google UFO sightings Edmonton Alberta Canada.

These sightings happen everywhere so why not there?

The History of South Edmonton sightings goes back to the 60s with an outstanding sighting that left physical evidence in a Grave-Yard.

Its funny but quite a few of the South Edmonton sightings are the drop down and hover over tht area type of sighting.Like they are not fly-bys but are instead specific visits.

Maybe they have a good BurgerKing/Tim Hortons on Edmontons South Side they enjoy from time to time.

Could be my niece.

She's running in the World Triathlon Championship in Edmonton tomorrow morning.

OR

It's another quadcopter.

I reported seeing one in my neighbourhood a few days ago and the flight pattern is IDENTICAL.

As I said in that post, we will be inundated with UFO reports for the foreseeable future until everyone gets a chance to see them close up.
