Sweden raise their military alertness

I live in Sweden.
Most people here hate Carl Bildt.
He is often in the newspaper about his money in weapons and how the Iraq war
made him a millionaire.

He is directly controlled by the U.S.
So if Sweden is doing anything stupid, it's often because of him.

Its funny, because we all put our criticism out there, but really nobody knows whats going on.

What is apparent however is that the government coup that took over Crimea was favored by the US and EU, and disfavored by Russia. When Russia reinstated the gov't, the US and EU did not like it. Now they are pointing fingers vilifying Russia as though they are the aggressors, who will potentially go around annexing other territories.

you are assuming russia is the agressor , which is the NATO's fictional narrative to justify their existence.

there wont be peace if NATO keep pushing eastwards.. this will be by the russians as pretext for invasion by western forces just like the last war..

Sweden and Finland are not the ones sending bombers and fighters to the edge of Russian air space. Sweden and Finland have not been starting touble in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Sweden and Finland were happy to be nuetral nations. Now of course Russia has made it clear if your not protected then Russia feels free to consider you a target.

The former Warsaw Pact nations all joined NATO because they all had a history of being occupied and/or invaded by Soviet forces anytime they did something the Soviets did not like. Despite the fall of the Soviet Union they predicted that Russia would not change its old habits so they joined NATO for protections. Russia's actions in Geogia, Moldova, and Ukraine have more than proven them right. The West prefered Russia as a partner but, people like Putin could not accept that Russia was no longer a great power. Before he started causing problems their was a good chance NATO was going to fold up shop. Now it will not only be staying but getting larger. Russia has nobody to blame but themselves.

As a Swede, I can safely say that there is no such thing as "Swedish military alertness". Yes, a couple of Gripens have been moved there - but Swedish fighter jets are rarely, if ever, deployed against unidentified airplanes violating our airspace. We've moved some tanks to Gotland previously as well. Of course, no one to actually drive and use the tanks but hey they are there in storage if the evil Russians come!

As a sidenote, unless there has been more incidents I believe the latest airplane that violated Swedish airspace without permission was a US military plane fleeing Russian pursuers because they had presumably been spying in Russian territory. The US military plane requested permission to enter Swedish airspace, was denied by air control which apparently prompted them to completely ignore it and against international law fly over Gotland anyway. No Swedish interceptor was sent up after it, of course. The goverment and military tried to hide the fact it was a US plane to begin it. I doubt the goverment even filed a complaint to the US.

And yes, Carl Bildt is just a puppet for NATO. He's basicly a US spy.

Wow so you think Europe is powerless? They have a superior air defense than Russia in most of Europe not all countries are like the former eastern block. For example fly within 200 mile zone in UK or Germany guaranteed you get an escort any time zombie aircraft show up.Ad also Sweden contrary to what someone here thinks. Zombie aircraft will always get attention. Zombie aircraft mean there signal dead spotted on Radar without any identification. I know you think Russia is superior but militarily thats just not the case. Most of there aircraft is outdated and no match for European aircraft. The Saab JAS 39 is an exceptional aircraft only thing better is the F22 but it held the top spot for a long time. Guaranteed If Russia violated there airspace they are more than capable of destroying them quickly if they chose to. Russian pilots would be on a suicide mission if they attacked Sweden.

Switzerland has placed santions on Russia. Switzerland. Can you honestly tell me the Swiss are warmongering?

And as to Europe being powerless you should sit down and look at some numbers. The EU alone Russias active duty forces out numbered by nearly a million men, its air force out numbered and its navy out numbered. Not to mention their technological and training advantages. And that does not even count the back up from NATO members like Turkey, Canada and the US. If Europe was a bunch of warmongers Russia would have to fall back on Nukes to survive.

All the sabre rattling is senseless. They all know that Russia is only worried about its "near abroad" and nothing else. Even the near abroad, Russia does nothing until some NATO provoked nonsense creeps up. If Russia was out there to stomp and pocket other nations, it would have done that long time ago.

It is the EVIL designs of AngloSaxon nations against Russia that is the cause of all the problems like in Ukraine etc.

Right now their blood is not spilling so they are watching from distance and giggling. The world is round and the EVIL designs formulated against others will surely come back to hit them.

Look, the JAS39 is indeed an exceptional aircraft, one of the best in the world. We also have some of the best tanks in the world, excellent submarines (that could kill a US aircraft carrier in the middle of a fleet looking for said submarine, hehe. There was a training some years ago), advanced ships and overall modern weaponry.

However...

We're talking less than a handful of them in that can quickly respond to threats. Just a few. Russia would literally overwhelm any Swedish defense. They could probably paradrop 50k men in Stockholm before the goverment even know we're being invaded. The greatest threat to invaders is probably the police forces, lol. This isnt the 50's anymore when we had a thousand aircrafts. Dont mistake what's happnening in Ukraine for a Russian "invasion". If they really wanted to invade a country (other than maybe the US), they would send so many men they'd swamp the defense.

We stand a better chance hoping Finland will blunt any invasion force before they reach Sweden.

nice attempt at deflection but sorry major fail Russia was a participant in Nato had offices there until of course Putin decided to do a land grab in Ukraine and they evicted them. Sorry but you cant reedit history because you dont like it. Fact is Russia thinks it can decide what its neighbors can and cant do with no respect for their neighbors. This is why we have countries like Poland screaming for NATO support. Funny part is NATO was irrelevant until Putin gave them purpose so i have to write this up as one of the biggest bone head moves in history.

Putin created exactly what he didnt want in fact every move hes made accomplished exactly opposite of what he wanted. The Worst part is Putin could have been the hero and brought Ukraine into the fold by offering assistance and support when it first started. He unfortunately decided to use force and deception and alienating Ukraine and pushed them towards the EU. My suggestion be more critical of propaganda sice you seem to buy everything Putin says even though hes been caught lying over and over. Now even Russians are questioning him openly with his lies of no Russian troops in Ukraine. Even had to threaten the press in the real world thats called a dictator. Heil Putin!
