god almighty, what's with the timeouts?

My first post this morning, about five minutes ago, got timed out.

I just clicked the refresh button at the end of the URL bar of my browser (Mozilla Firefox, no idea what version, and do not particularly give a damn either!). This took me straight to the grey "POST IT!" screen, which then redirected me to my post in thread, as if there had never been a problem.

I hope that helps!

ETA: I just used that method to get this post to actually go through as well!

Just checked that map you posted a link to earlier and it all makes sense, the attacks are targeting root DNS servers in the USA and that is crippling web servers and other services all over..

So why does this happen so often on ATS? I've yet to see it happen to many places I frequent.

I like how these people thinks: I understand so much internet, in so good with it, probably the only thing i know to do in life is how to fully use a system many have no idea beyond google how to use it, i'm so in love with it, that i have to kill it and ruin it for everyone else...

I blame GMO on this, if people where not well fed they would have to employ more time on procuring food and they would have less time to satisfy their sick perversions

Nope. I tested that theory. It is content based. Though you may still timeout if you take too long.
