Obama Gets 30 Death Threats a Day

Our President gets over 30 death threats a day; that's 30 a day-7days a week for a total of 210 a week. It's no mystery why; first Black President and all of the controversy surrounding him and his decisions.

Since Mr Obama took office, the rate of threats against the president has increased 400 per cent from the 3,000 a year or so under President George W. Bush, according to Ronald Kessler, author of In the President's Secret Service.
Some threats to Mr Obama, whose Secret Service codename is Renegade, have been publicised, including an alleged plot by white supremacists in Tennessee late last year to rob a gun store, shoot 88 black people, decapitate another 14 and then assassinate the first black president in American history.

While I'm sure there are some who want to kill Obama because he's black but it's probably for the notoriety of it-being the one to kill the first Black President. I'm sure there are others who just want him dead-period. However, a 400% increase in death threats to our President is ridiculous. Race shouldn't be an issue, ever. People are different races in different lifetimes, although, I'll save that for another thread.


What does ATS think about this? Surprised, shocked, calm, unaffected.....I am not biased either way. I just want to hear your opinions..

Who says race has such a big role in it though? Bush was bad but people seemed to be far less in the loop. 9/11 opened many eyes to the treason of our government. It just took a while for it to happen. Could it be all that hope and change people were promised only to get the same # as before on steroids?

And he and his entire family will get many more death threats once he's out of office. Obama, will probably go down in history as one of the most protected "Former Presidents", in US history.

Approve of his policies or not, threats based on race are not right to anyone.

Just because you get death threats is no excuse for being the worst President of The United States of all time. How many peoples "death certificates" has HE signed since he won the Nobel Peace Prize? Tell you what, I dare ANY Obama supporter to give me ONE, just ONE positive thing that he has accomplished.

I voted for him the first time and I wished I had not. I actually agree with you and I certainly understand where you're coming from. If you click the link in my signature, you'll see exactly what I believe about "War".

However, disagreeing with his policies is no reason to threaten his life...and that's my opinion.

I don't think it's because he's black either. Who cares about that, for most people anyway. Most likely reason is the sheer destruction he has done to the country through his globalist decisions, Wall Street support after the crisis, his instigation of additional racial tensions, his extreme partisanship, his don't give a damn attitude and perhaps even his wife's fascist school lunch debacle. Just to start with.

The guy is not only an anti-American loser he is a complete hazard to our country (and much of the rest of the world.) He's not voted worst American president for nothing.

The only guilt I feel, is voting for Obama. The last election I voted for Ron Paul and changed my political affiliation because of Obama's first four years of madness.

Still, if the majority of threats are race based, I still think it's wrong. It would be wrong for any president.

Death threats are pointless IMO.

The only thing about what you said that is an outrage to me is the fact that you think the only possible reason people would want to do this is because of the color of his skin. As if it had nothing to do with his poor leadership and socialist agenda.

While I didn't explicitly say it, I hinted at the fact that I don't think it's his skin color but rather the novelty for some to be the one to kill the First black President. There will never be another FIRST so some will want to take advantage of that.

Obama wakes up drinks a cup of coffee reads these letters and laughs....

Guess they havent got ears everywhere yet ...

Socialist agenda? Seriously? Still with this nonsense? Have you any awareness of what the word 'socialist' means or how it's applied? Obama ended up being right of center, at best. He has embraced corporate run capitalism wholeheartedly. Do you not realize that the left felt abandoned because he catered so hard to the right?

I don't know what to say to you people that just can't read history books. It's so pervasive in this country it's maddening. Such a continuously sad comment on the USA. And why does it always delivered in this proudly unaware way?
