it was not trashy because it was a very symbolic picture, and obviously a great deal of thought went into it.

#1. A naked Muslim woman - offensive as to be worthy of summary execution under Shariah law, symbolically baring all for the sake of trying to awaken the world and awaken ISIS to the evil they have committed

#2. Menstruation - seen as unclean and defiling what it touches under Shariah, so they defiled the flag in one of the worst ways possible under Shariah - symbolically showing the split blood of innocents

#3. Bowel movement - literally #ting on the flag of ISIS, an insult everyone can understand, - symbolically saying that the actions of ISIS are #ting on the honor of Allah, Muhammad and Islam in general

#4. The finger - a symbol of unpleasant intercourse, - symbolically showing the rape of innocents done by ISIS

#5. The veiled woman - the purer of the two women as she had a veil on - symbolic of the feeling of the pure women that ISIS is raping and #ting on the true faith

#6. The assault weapons can be symbolic of several things:
taking the fight for the honor of Islam in the only way Islamic women can since they can not take up arms
or saying ISIS should lay down their weapons for the honor of Allah

FYI: I just went and read up on the woman whose face is toward the camera. She is a feminist activist, fighting for equal rights of women in Islamic society.

She has made many symbolic pictures, which are her way of expressing her opinion through photography,

So, my assumptions are correct, that this is a carefully crafted photo, done by someone who is very careful about symbolism and is aware of symbolism. She crafted a photo that captured so much thought and yet at the same time, shocked people and enraged people, just as she intended so it would go viral.

Go girl!


So brave, and sadly most likely so dead once Imams issue their fatwa's, which are bound to come. I hope it is not true with all my heart. But, she is an adult and quite aware of all the symbolism and she is using her body as a weapon, and knows the consequences of using a weapon.

I object to women degrading themselves to make a point. I understand the intent of the picture, but it must have cost them some self-respect. Aren't women degraded enough in modern society and especially in Islamic society?

They are not in the porn industry, they are artists, trying to make an artistic point.

Just as artists in the past have poured urine on pictures/statues of Christ to make a point.

Just like the performance artists who are government supported with grants that are naked when they make their artistic statements.

It is different than porn, the intelligentsia, hollywood, and the federal government of the USA call it art, regardless of what your or my personal opinion is of it.
