Whatever the best album ever is U2 "Joshua Tree".

The best 'rockopera' would be "The Wall" or "Operation Mindcrime".

I could never get into Zappa. Can't describe it, just didn't appeal to me.

I love his album titles though. Hot Weenie Sandwich, no one else could come up with such a thing lol.

Frank Zappa: the most uncelebrated American genius.

I've introduced Thing Fish to many people, all of whom absolutely loved it!

This is one album that will never age. It's beyond classic.

burnt weenie sandwich...

i think most people, maybe 95% cant get into zappa.
usually people think he is the best(me) and others just dont dig it.

im not saying this is the case with you but i think a lot of people dont really understand what theyre listening too.
odd time signatures... poly rhythems.... things like that

another one that i think is up there in the best of all time category is hot rats by zappa.
that is some serious jazz fusion right there.

arguably the best jazz fusion record next to bitches brew, imo

The Beatles " Sgt Pepper" is the greatest album of all time. That is not only my opinion but the opinion of many music journalists, musicians, critics fans and historians. And who am i to argue with them ?

thats the great thing. music is subjective. sgt pepper is awesome but imo, not the best. not even top 10

Contrary to belief The Who's " Tommy " was not the first rock opera. That honour goes to The Pretty Things. Their rock opera " S.F. Sorrow" was released in 1968, and in my opinion is far superior to " Tommy"
