So here I go with my first ever UFO post.
Beware that this is all second hand but still worthy.

So the other night I was talking to a friend that is quite the sceptic.
He discussed what he saw/heard the other day in Temuka, New Zealand.

He heard what he called "a extremely high revving, fast, kind of electrical/V8 sound in the sky", I asked if it was a hum, he said no, and couldnt really describe the sound.

He looked up and seen a small black craft in the sky and took a photo on his phone..
He also took a photo with a UV filter software thing on his phone and I will post both photos.

I havent posted to discuss his experience, as this is secondhand info I can never answer any questions thourouly, but I will post the photos so we can talk about them..

Yes, let's wait for pictures of a sound. Good thinking. GMAFB.

I'm dubious that any phone has an actual UV photo filter...it may mimic what UV looks like but not actual filter UV light.

As one of the other posters also mentioned we cannot zoom in on the picture...I'm afraid I cannot even say that these images are unidentified as they may have been added in after the fact...sorry

For all we know these could have been some type of clear debris on the lens that only showed up when the photo imaging was changed to a different filter

So your skeptic friend takes pictures of the sky with UV filters on?

Well besides that, I have another issue. Does his UV equipped cellphone also have a tripod? And was there no wind? Because the image doesn't budge in the slightest between the two of them.

At most the first image was ran through some post-processing filter and produced the second image. They are not separate photographs, and there was not an actual UV filter used here.

Sorry to say but I don't think there is anything of interest to be seen here, except for some nice looking storm clouds ruined with a bad post-processing filter.

as your OP implies only one alledged UFO was present - please indicate which of the fuzzy blobs is supposed to be the " craft "

there are also white-ish dots in the sky and on the fence, also gradations of grey throughout that are different in the regular photo....lens effects is my guess

What kind of phone is he using?
And are you saying these objects were only visible with UV filter?
It looks like the same photo with the object added.

Well the pictures are in , the object in the unfiltered image coupled with the description of the sound the object made give me no reason to believe this wasn't a quadcopter , I am however surprised by the very low quality of the image.

Not in my opinion.

Fake, and very poorly done fake at that.

I was born in Temuka NZ, so was very interested in the thread. Both I and a Temuka primary school friend were interested in building spaceships in our backyards when we were children, I also remember a UFO dream from that era (early 1980s) where I woke up in the middle of the night, walking outside and the sky lit up like daylight and the ground cracked open underneath. Felt so real.

Any way possible to get full resolution pictures of those shots? Say, post the original image on a file locker site instead (say, mega.co.nz for example..).

Hey to all, to clarify my post, there was ONE picture taken and he went to the phone editing software and the UV filter added. He said the craft was the little dot above the powerpole

Tell your friend to upload the full uncompressed image so we can examine exif data.

Why would he compress the image if this is so damn ground breaking? Tell him its fine to send images uncompressed, its 2014 and we can now spare the extra kilobytes in bandwidth.

Just discovered a nifty google feature:

Google image comparison

And the EXIF

Here's the full data:

JFIF
JFIF Version 1.01
Resolution 1 pixels/None
File — basic information derived from the file.
File Type JPEG
MIME Type image/jpeg
Encoding Process Baseline DCT, Huffman coding
Bits Per Sample 8
Color Components 3
File Size 19 kB
Image Size 545 × 409
Y Cb Cr Sub Sampling YCbCr4:2:0 (2 2)

Its fake. If it was from a camera it would have some type of exif data in there, but its a nice clean slate. And it would be a tough argument as of why someone would edit an already skeptical image that has "alien craft" in it.

Pretty silly. Either you are lying, or your friend lied to you.
