The Zodiac Killer Was Not As Brilliant As You Think (And Why He Has Not Been Caught)

I disagree on the ciphers being gibberish. I think there is a code but it has not been cracked. Zodiac was an ego driven person that would not have spent time on something like that if there was no meaning in my opinion. Cryptography work from finding similarities in repetitive characters and assigning them based on the number of occurrences and frequency. I don't think you can do that with Zodiac ciphers as they are a combination of multiple characters in a single character, as in each symbol could stand for more than one letter.

Really loved your point about "tying over anthills" and "pine needles under your nails" referencing a particular torture tactic used on people who would later find refuge in San Francisco.

I do believe that the Zodiac intentionally misspelled words to put emphasis on the incorrect letter that replaced the correct letter. He was known to even add letters to show importance ie)

ParadiCe in the Halloween letter (might have been referencing his victim Donne Lass murdered right before he send that letter who coincidentally worked at a casino in Lake Tahoe (dice) - there also was a Paradice hotel situated not even a mile from where the victim lived and also from where she worked. She has never been found.

Also, On the envelope for the Halloween letter he spelled Paul Avery's name as Paul AverLy. The point of this incorrect letter was to reveal the zodiac's name. I believe it was Arthur Lee Allen who went by Leigh Allen. The Ly in "AverLy" is putting emphasis on the phonetic "Leigh".

There are better examples of why he mispelled to create a secret message when you added up the incorrect letters than what I've theorized above.

Now I don't think he was a genius, but he demonstrated great control while writing his letters and murdering... something most homicidal psychopaths do not have. This ability to remain controlled and calm while/after killing may exist because of a background in warfare/military. However, it also is the hallmark of someone who feels nothing and that is standard antisocial behavior so it may just be bc he was a true antisocial personality. But because military shoes were involved and bc of the story of the Pine needles under nails and the tying up on anthills... I'm willing to bet military. However I think maybe that is something he heard about from older military veterans as I feel he was too young to have experienced that torture/conflict first hand.

Dunno if it has been brought up, but maybe all those spelling errors were part of the code.

Ok mate in all honesty i think its a great thing you are having a poke at this, but heres the problem. I have been lucky or unlucky enough to share conversations with guys like this bloke and heres the thing, the difference between what the authorities say brilliant mind, and highly inteligent to what you are trying to relate it to, like oh i dont know old Hanibal lecter or maybe dexter just isnt the case.
So the point is this guy was crazy, yes, self inflated ego definetly, 95% of criminals have an over active macho ego from using it in prison as a self defence mechanism. was he poorly educated i would say most probably as the OP shows he has developed patternistic mistakes in his spelling.
And the code oh well I dont know as i believe he had pryors most probably long lags , how about checking prison criminal code's from the 60's.

I am just as convinced there was no code and he was just distracting the police as I am that the misspellings are part of a code.
I never paid much attention to the guy.

(Stated about JFK)
"During his Presidential campaign John F. Kennedy did well in California."

Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated (shot) just after midnight on June 5, 1968,
minutes after proclaiming victory in the California Democratic presidential primary.

On November 29, 1963, Lyndon Johnson launched a federal investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Chaired by Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren, the seven-man “Warren Commission” would later publish an 888-page report
alleging that Lee Harvey Oswald had acted alone in the shooting.

[ 8 8 8
is shown in a cipher that this person (Zodiac) sent in.]

[Was he possibly making a 'reference' to that??]

``````
More, at the link:
www.history.com...
(including):
8. Public trust in the report plummeted after only a few years.
When the Warren Report was first released to the public in September 1964, polls showed
that only 56 percent of Americans agreed with its “lone gunman theory.”
But within months, critics began to poke holes in its conclusions and methodology,
and conspiracy theories cropped up alleging the involvement of everyone from the Mafia to Lyndon Johnson himself.
By 1966, a second poll
would show that only a meager 36 percent of people still had confidence in the report.
Today, studies show that around two-thirds of Americans believe in some form of conspiracy surrounding the assassination.
```````
Question: Did this person (Zodiac) have a "political" opinion? (of some sort)

"If" so,
did that play "any part", in the doing of this case (Zodiac case) ??

Riverside P. D. noticed what seemed to be, some similarities,
in regard to the case in Riverside (Cheri Jo Bates case),

and the Zodiac (cases).

We know that Vallejo P. D. looked at some of their own. (At least, two police officers.)

What about Riverside P. D.
Did they look at any of their own?

["If" not.
Why not.]

But, "maybe" they did.
(Who knows.)

The FACT is:

This person (Zodiac) WAS a "COPYcat" killer/letter-writer.

All I was trying to do was "help" others,
in knowing what had been noticed about this case, is all.

(I'm sorry I bothered. Forgive me.)

(Maybe I should write a book.)

The "FACTS" and "truth" then wouldn't be, censored-out.

Anyway, take care ...
