And so it begins! I wonder how many of them got through via Mexico.

– Federal authorities sent a bulletin to U.S. law enforcement Friday in light of the threat concerning militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), according to CBS News.

The bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI cites no known threat to the U.S. homeland, but reminds law enforcement to be alert and aware of the ISIS threat, CBS reported.

Despite the flippant response above by LeatherNLace, I also wonder how many already came through Mexico. I hope all those new Democratic voters are worth the attacks we will be seeing over the coming years.

Why would a group as well funded, organized and technologically savvy as ISIS ignore the Mexican border as a path for entry into the United States?

It's not that simple.
I see it as a free pass for LEOs for more power abuse.

We should all keep in mind what the man said:

"Fool me once ... shame on me.
"Fool me twice ... you can't fool me again."

If there is another event like what happened on Sept. 9, 2001, everyone who is employed by the DHS should be fired for NOT doing their jobs.

"Security of the homeland" is the only job they have. If they can't do it, they should all be fired and we should hire someone else.

real or not real, you be the judge

A sign carried by a protester in Ferguson, Missouri, declaring the presence of the Islamic State, or ISIS, is an act of intimidation, warning Americans they should fear the Middle Eastern Islamic jihadist group even in their own homes, according to an expert.

Islam analyst Robert Spencer, whose Jihad Watch website website monitors Islamic jihad worldwide, said the sign, which says, “ISIS here,” is “in line with supporters of the Islamic State taking photos of the Islamic State flag held in front of the White House and other landmar

God I just love the smell of Bullsh*t it the morning. It smells like, Victory!

You know this may have worked well in the early post 9-11 days. You all remember those right. High Alerts about Nothing. Just day after day of Alerts and Warning of Terrorists of a totally unspecific and general kind.

High Alert, there are terrorists out there somewhere. Not really sure where, but they're out there and they want to kill your freedoms!! Be very afraid everyone!! We'll be back tomorrow to scare you some more with additional non-specific general fear porn.

Then they eventually do actually find a terrorists who's up to something only to later find out it was someone who the FBI or CIA has as an Asset. Funny how they all were so heavily connected to our own side isn't it.

Now it looks like they're up to their old tactics again. Wonder if they still work after all the BS they've already pulled???

ISIS or whatever their name is today will attack the U.S. Them or someone claiming to be them.
If I were American I'd be seriously worried. Who knows for sure what came across the Mexican border?

IMO the next attack will be devastating.

It also made me wonder if the bankrupt slum cities may be the target, that's if its all planned already.

Does this mean they will be guarding the borders better ?

Should'a thought of that before !!

I think we are being set up.

What about all those "Sanctuary" Cities now ?

Will ISIS immigrants still get a "Pass" ?

Oh look 9/11 is coming up and Homeland Security wants Americans to be vigilant. Too bad they cried wolf for 13 years because ISIS/ISIL/IS seems a bunch more worrisome than tweezers, shampoo, sneakers & matches and grannies at the airport.

I doubt it. Slums aren't exactly High Value Targets. The reason they are slums is because nobody gives a sh*t about them already. I doubt too many are going to lose sleep over one of them being blown up either.

The idea behind a terrorist target is to hit something meaningful to your enemy. Economically, Military or even Symbolic will work, but slums don't really count. Neither do town like Elk Hoof Montana, or Pig Snout Idaho. Because they can vanish without anyone really noticing.

I don't think that we will have to worry to much about ISIS in the US in the near future.

Until they have succeeded or failed at carving their bloody little repulsive country onto our maps I think that is where a majority of their attention will remain. When one is waging a full on war for an as of yet not fully functional country, there isn't as much time and resources to devote to subversive terrorist acts across the world. It isn't till they fail or succeed in their current campaign that their gaze will truly fall upon the U.S.A.

Hopefully I don't get proven wrong.

I think in our deteriorating country, the government should be more worried about domestic terrorism. There is no way today's socio-political climate isn't breeding more McVeighs.

Well lets see...

Drug cartels = know to work for US government intelligence agencies when convenient for both.

ISIS = has suspected ties to US government intelligence agencies.

Not surprising they would "talk" to each other.

"Hey, ISIS dude, you know Marco? He's my CIA handler too! Woah!"

"You know it Mr. Cartel guy! He's pretty cool -- he gave us a bunch of rockets!"

Good stuff! So I guess the police get to keep all of their military gear because, goodness knows, they can't defend the citizens in police uniforms. How very convenient.

I do think this group has the capabilities to pull off some attacks within the US borders. Seems there are those who have bought into their ideology and want to get to heaven the fast way. Potentially scary times ahead for the citizens of this country, depending of course on how well they recruit within the states.

So, for those on this board who've been shouting for a revolution...you might just get your wish. Unfortunately, I don't think Ron Paul will be leading this revolt...
