My U2U

lately mine has been sending duplicates even though i only send it once.
is there a fix to this? or am i just screwed

I gave you a star for being quick to the draw,
& having a good sense of humor,
even though it was a thread & not a U2U.
But only one, 2 would be redundant!

Meanwhile, look on the bright side, your messages will seem all the more important.

Sometimes you need to repeat things if they are very important. Your computer is just deciding what to repeat because it likes you.

Think of it this way......U2U.....Two You's in it and the number two. Why shouldn't it send two copies.

Nothing changed recently with regards to the U2U system as far as I know. I send several U2Us every day and it has never happened to me - that I'm aware off. BUT, I often receive 2/3 identical U2Us from people meaning it's not just you... However, seeing that it's a random issue it's pretty hard to troubleshoot (for SkepticOverlord from a programmer's point of view).

The problem is often "eager clickers". A person clicks the send button, and for a nanosecond nothing happens, so the person clicks again, and perhaps a third and fourth time just to make sure, resulting in 4 U2Us.

Another cause can be screwy script execution by the browser. So - what browser do you use? Perhaps - just for an experiment - switch to a different browser to see if the problem remains.

Did anything change on your side between the time everything was working fine and when things doubled up?

Personally I'd categorize it as a "First World Problem".
