You sound totally unbiased...

Putin is a bad joke. All he can do is piss in peoples Wheaties right now. He is simply a bully. Bullies only understand punches to the head. So, he will keep pushing until someone punches him in the head.

Pfft ... you sound like an American retard. Pardon my french.

While I totally agree on his "bans" to be worthless and counter productive. Your assessment on the issue however, is assenine to say the least.

Your broke, bankrupt ... and so is entire Europe. Putin isn't Medvejev the former Russian president. He's a former KGB, and he plays a totally different game.

The question is not, what Putin is or isn't going to do ... the question is, what are the Russians going to do. Are they going to let Putin flinch, in this American "chicken" game ... are they going to let EU and the US take another Russian territory off their hands. Are they going to withdraw, into their shell ... or, do they have the guts to go on the offensive.

That's the real question.

Thank you for your post. This is important news.

There is no way Europe can tolerate such a move. Putin has just gut-punched the entire Western European economy in one blow. I see the Europeans pulling away from the US because they are going to realize that they simply cannot survive without Russia. The US, broke as it is, can do nothing to prop up the European economic system, or even make a significant contribution to it, in view of these sanctions. What's more, Russia has been preparing for this on many fronts for a long time.

The US-led sanctions against Russia may have backfired on the US because it threatens to “hasten a move away from the dollar that’s been stirring since the global financial crisis [in 2008],”Rachel Evans at Bloomberg wrote. In an unexpected turn of events, Hong Kong’s central bank has bought more than $9.5 billion since the start of July “to prevent its currency from rallying as the sanctions stoked speculation of an influx of Russian cash,” she noted.

Anybody who thinks Putin and Russia don't have the upper hand is simply dead wrong.

Frankly, I admire Putin's sang froid as well as his amazing restraint. The moves he's made since the start of the (CIA led) rebellion in Ukraine have been well thought out and strategic, with one master stroke after another. I'm very impressed with his foreign policy, and the BRICS alliance will come out on top.

I don't think Putin is being rash. He would not have established an embargo on the EU if he hadn't already secured a supply elsewhere. The new co-operation between Brazil Russia India China South Africa known as BRICS makes the EU unnecessary. More like 'methodical'.

I completely agree.

BRICS covers more than half of the population on this planet. You can also add in the friends of Russia such as Iran and Syria. If these all work together they don't need anyone else.

Seems to me, these plans have been in the pipeline for a long time. World leaders can see the collapse of the US coming like a freight train and are getting out of the way in a planned hurry.

Now these plans are coming to fruition. BRICS is pretty damn big, bigger then the US and bigger than the EU.

You're absolutely correct. It's time for Americans to begin to realize that they are no longer the biggest kid on the block, and they cannot go on with the usual bullying tactics as they have in the past.

As an American ex-patriot who lived in Europe for a long period of time, I am pleased to see the US finally face a worthy opponent who knows how to deal with the spectre of US foreign policy. I hope it sets a precedent.

Here's an article on Kerry's failed attempts to redefine US foreign policy.

The car company, Daimler are planning on being in Sochi, Russia on October 10th for the Grand Prix of Russia.

Their Mercedes team is leading the Manufacturer's and Drivers Championship.

One of the two Mercedes drivers happens to be of African extraction, much to the consternation of the German Board of Directors at Daimler. They are suspected of doing everything possible to sabotage this brilliant young Black man's
championship chances but without destroying their own chances of winning the manufacturers championship! Their aversion is DIRECTLY comparable to that of old Adolph himself at the thought of Jesse Owens winning the 100yd Dash in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Jesse, as you may remember, won and Hitler had a conniption we now refer to as WWII.

The Mercedes team's largest financial supporter and official sponsor is Petronas, the national oil company of Malaysia and the same people who happen to own Malaysian Airlines.

It was the Formula 1 of Malaysia that was the impetus behind the timing of the Malay PM's announcement that "all the(MH370) passengers are probably dead, so go home and wait in China till we call you".

The day after this announcement, which amounted to an eviction notice to the families of the missing, the Illuminati arrived by jet in Kuala Lumpur for the Grand Prix, including Dr. Deiter Zeische, CEO of Daimler.

The Grand Prix brings out the World's Leader's of Industry and Finance and the rest of the Uber rich for an opportunity to conspicuously consume whilst rubbing shoulders with Hollywood's hoi polloi.

Things are going to become very much more interesting, very soon.

I think that food prices are bound to go up in many of the countries listed below because profits from exports will be greatly decreased. How are producers going to survive with such a huge part of their budgets eliminated?

So europe loses according to 2013 charts... 13,7 b

Beyond that, its not only the fruits and fish. The car industry is different, airplanes also... And those countries who invested in Russian defense for their countries, their defense systems are useless...

and why cyprus announced 15b loss from these sanctions? So is it an accurate chart?

In my country already 300 huge trucks moving back in greece filled with fruits, 170.000 t . And probably all these fruits going to be destroyed. And am not speaking about the fruits and products already in the store rooms. These huge trucks where already in the russian borders and they didnt allowed them to enter. So they coming back.

Our puppet government, decided to offer these 170.000 tones of fruits to the military and hospitals and the greek people to pay that bill!!! But the farmers decided to destroy the fruits and get the insurance instead... thank goodness for that, because the traitors in our governments tried once more to give extra weight to our tax.

There is no other market to consume these fruits, all eu countries are bankrupted, nobody buys

An article on some UK businesses affected by the Russian ban on imports from sanctioning places.

Russia, clearly has a lot of international commercial trade from many nations. The sanctions were a stupid idea and whoever's idea it was ought to realise that they are probably causing their own people and nations more issues than those of Russia.

On the plus side, for consumers where the bans are affecting, the food prices might be less.

Sanctions aren't solving anything.

There is lots of talking in EU, that this was the actual target of USA... EU.

They want to split EU (destroy the current form) and if we calculate who got the biggest hit, was not USA, that is actual the country who forced these sunctions, but EU instead.

Here is a rochield video and this abomination have a house in my country Ydra island... Look what he says (especially at the end of the video) , he says EU needs to split.

Russia is in the game, BRICS (china mostly) they want to split EU, they command their puppet USA to add these sanctions, the puppet Merkel bows always to obamas feet and look what happens.
