Yeah, 2000ish in 7 days. Doesnt seem much. WOuld be cool to see this over a larger time period. Monthly figures would be interesting to see the busy times of year and see any trends related to international events.

Take into account, though, that for every member logged in there is a consistent figure of ten lurkers reading the threads. Those numbers are quite high, considering the quality and interesting intelligent topics that can be found here (I'm not saying that applies across the boards, so to speak, but the average level of "new information" per day on ATS is impressive).

If only 2/3 of our 300,000 members invited a friend to join, we'd hit half a MILLION!

...But how 'bout we season the quantity with a bit of quality?

It would be interesting to see how many of those members are active.

I also wonder if they include banned members?

If you go to the "List of members", you find a total of 267562.
I think banned members are definitely excluded from that list.
The implication is that "banned members" account for the difference between the two figures, though it does look like a remarkably high number.
In fact more than ten per cent of the higher total.

If we think of all of the tiny amount of what we might call "negatives" about ATS (which really is almost none overall)...now with 300,000 active, responding and threading contributors...we have an ASTOUNDINGLY prolific and well educated membership here interested in all things, everywhere regarding everyone.

The best. The most. We should really be proud.

Entertainment and good business all wrapped up in a tidy cyber package.
