Inforespace Journal (Belgium UFO group SOBEPS) - PDFs

As many of you will know, the Belgium UFO group SOBEPS (probably best known for its investigations into the wave of Belgium sightings in 1989-1991) published the Inforespace journal in French until SOBEPS dissolved in 2007.



A member of AboveTopSecret.com with the username "Joshuavalley" (better known in Belgium under the pseudonym "Anakin_nEo") kindly shared with me scans of a few complete issues of Inforespace and a much larger number of substantial extracts from numerous issues. The archive totals over 1,000 pages of Inforespace.

I rendered those scans searchable a few months ago and sought permission from COBEPS to make them available online.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Patrick Ferryn (the co-founder of SOBEPS) at the recent meeting in Paris organised by the French space agency, CNES, and he readily gave me permission to upload searchable PDF versions of Inforespace.

The file size of the archive is approximately 800Mb, which is rather large. I have been very tempted to use function within Adobe Acrobat to produce reduced size PDFs, but I know that one researcher has previously expressed strong views against such compression so I have refrained from doing so at the moment.

While I have rendered the files searchable, I have not changed the file names used by "Anakin_nEo". I do not know Inforespace well enough to know if there is a good reason for the variety of file names, or whether they could be renamed into a consistent (and hence easier to sort) single filename.

The collection includes some complete issues but many more of the files are extracts (often sizeable) from numerous issues of Inforespace. "Anakin_nEo" listing of the files is given below. A spreadsheet with further details, also supplied by "Anakin_nEo", is included within the file archive.

So, there is more that could be done. I hope that sharing this material may prompt further Inforespace material to be shared and, of course, avoids some reinvention of the wheel in relation to any other Inforespace scanning projects...

Finally, if any of you know of any other worthwhile UFO publication that is not online as yet and you can give (or obtain) permission to make that publication available on a free file storage website then please let me know.

That is a nice collection of information, I am quite pleased to see them available as many of those issues are now impossible to obtain anymore (except from original owners who would share... but they're not easy to find!)

I'll be sure to give it a good look, and if any member is interested in a particular translation, please don't hesitate to request me through private message. (I'll give my best of available time although that may not be as much as I want...)

the triangles seen over Belgium are indeed a permanent part of the ufo allure and lore. I recall this time period quite vividly, and the subject comes up many times during tv programs I have seen on the subject of types of ufo's seen over the decades.
