Multiple people were shot Thursday afternoon at a hospital in Darby, Pa., prompting authorities to place the building on lockdown and order at least a partial evacuation, MyFoxPhilly.com reported.

Pennsylvania hospital on lockdown amid reports of shooting

Looks like another shooting is going on. This time at a hospital. Hopefully nobody was killed. It happened at the wellness center. No real reports on it with any facts yet other than there were multiple people hit and the hospital is on lockdown right now.

20 people get murdered by gunfire in Chicago in a single weekend.

They ought to lock that place down!

(should i say it...imma say it...no don't...okay, yes..here it goes..)

Well, look on the bright-side, if you get shot & live, your right there to get treated & the bill will be lower because you don't need a ride in the ambulance.

our medical system is so Effed up they will probably ship everyone across town to some other hospital for some ridiculous reason.

this is one of the reasons i hate hospitals soooo much. a no gun zone is only a no gun zone for people who obey laws

I used to fantasize about getting hit by an ambulance or a cop at a crosswalk for similar reasons. You would most definitely live because help is right there and you'd probably get an insane settlement.

As soon as they figure out the angle in which to use these victims as pawns of their misguided propaganda. So...any moment now.

Darby can be a rough area. Lots of stuff goes on up there. I'm not surprised by this.

This is an interesting tid bit guys and gals....

A doctor wounded by a patient in a deadly shooting at a suburban hospital campus returned fire and wounded the patient, authorities said.

Investigators believe the doctor had his own gun and acted in self-defense, District Attorney Jack Whelan said.

This just proves what I've been saying for years following incidents of this kind. Our country would be immeasurably safer if we would simply get rid of all the hospitals.

It was interesting to watch the reports on this shooting unfold.

The media went into full anti-gun mode only to find out that the shooter was neutralized almost immediately because one of the intended victims, the doctor, was carrying his own gun.

An honest media would portray this doctor as the hero that he is and encourage more people to exercise their right of self protection.

But not our propaganda network. Curious to see how they'll manage to spin this into yet another anti-2A rant.

Amazed at the reports of shootings in America lately. Much violence, and people think guns are to blame.

Gun control is a red herring, so to speak. The more we keep arguing about how something happened, the less we focus on why it happened. Nobody supports murder, so it's a debate to nowhere. Hunting, self-defense, property defense, the military, organized crime (including gangs, who are all mercs for the black market now), espionage, even dueling -- these are appropriate subjects around which to discuss gun regulation. Murder is not, because there is no one taking the position that guns should be used for that purpose.

We all agree it should never happen. More or fewer guns seem to be the solution to some people, but only because we're already fixating on the gun part. I'm sure most people would all agree that this is treating the symptom and not the sickness regardless, with some taking the position that if the sickness is incurable or chronic, then symptom alleviation is the only route, and others believing that this particular treatment would make the illness worse.

But we already know all that. Having more guns does not make a culture more likely to murder other people (though it does increase suicide). The gunshow regulation loopholes don't either--many armed societies, you can buy an AK off a blanket on the street, but murder is almost unheard-of, with gun violence restricted to the stuff that guns are made for. Guns do kill people, but only a person can commit murder, because it is a crime of circumstance and intent. More or fewer guns or gun laws just doesn't, in real world numbers, seem to correlate at all to how often they are used for murder. Being American does. We don't know why, but I think it might have to do with fighting over tertiary issues like what kind of small machine currently scares or excites us most until we think everything is just a matter of opinion, and then a madman decides HIS opinion that some humans have to die today is equally legitimate to any other.

See, to me, that is just funny. Darkly, tragically funny, but undeniably amusing nonetheless. It would be just as funny if the guy had shown up with a flamethrower and the doctor doused him with an extinguisher. The gun part is just a detail. What really stands out is how, because of that detail, they had the story in the can before they knew anything.

This is a great chance to examine how propaganda sways both the content and focus of our discussion. You can think nobody but cops and soldiers be armed, or not even them -- or that the more people who carry, the safer we are. The point of the propaganda is NOT to create more gun control, I promise you. That angle is what sells advertising space to the mostly anti-gun audience, so they take it. They would do the opposite if the money were in it. But profit is not the motive, because the ads just pay for union jobs. We'll get as many guns as the ruling elite thinks we should have, and that is it, and there is nothing anybody can ever do to influence them one iota.

Nobody in propaganda cares about controlling anything but how we think and what we discuss.

Gotta just love how a "good guy" with a gun stopped a "bad guy" before the body count could stack up and the story gets dropped immediately as if it has no value whatsoever.

It falls off of all the MSM sites in less than 24 hours, it drops off ATS with hardly any responses almost instantly.

If that "good guy" with his gun hadnt been there the POTUS would be making a speech from the rose garden, every MSM outlet would be hammering the story 24/7 for at least two weeks and this thread would be hanging out at the top with 50+ flags and 20 pages of responses.

Somebody who takes their life and the lives of those around them put down an immediate threat to those lives with a (gasp!) gun rather than hide under a desk and wait 15 minuted for the cops to show up with their guns as the threat roamed freely.

Where's Shannon "this never happens" Watts on the subject? Surely MDA will broadcast another insensitive Tweet about how the doctor with his evil gun robbed those victims of their right to die holy and glorious deaths and have their souls sent on to Feinstein anti-gun crusading Heaven. Now they have to live. Worse yet they have to live knowing some guy with his own gun saved them. The horror. Saved by a gun. Ewww... Think of the children!

This is the kind of story that gets swept under the Progressive rug as it is not conducive to their anti-Second Amendment agenda.
