Breaking News: Air Algerie loses contact with plane

A flight operated by Air Algerie carrying 110 passengers and a crew of six has disappeared from the radar during a journey from Burkina Faso to Algiers.

The official Algerian news agency said air navigation services lost track of the Swiftair plane 50 minutes after take-off in the early hours of Thursday.

Swiftair, the private Spanish airline, confirmed 116 people were on board.

The flight path of Flight AH5017 from Ouagadougou, the capital of the west African nation of Burkina Faso, to Algiers was not immediately clear.

Ouagadougou is almost directly south of Algiers, passing over Mali where unrest continues in the north.

A senior French official said it was unlikely that fighters in Mali had weaponry that could shoot down a plane.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the fighters have shoulder-fired weapons which could not hit an aircraft at cruising altitude.

It's starting to look like an accident after the flight was diverted due to bad weather , another sad day nevertheless.

just saw this on the news and YES, I was thinking the same: "Something must be going on!"

and, as ridiculous it may seem first thing that came to mind were... wait for it - ALIENS!

don't know why, maybe just a programming from all the alien invasion movies throughout the years.

maybe money sucking blood thirsty media just play games; we will see.

if it's really missing - something is going on; that's from me.

Interesting that we seem to have two separate reports here, some saying this was due to bad weather and others suggesting something deeper? Another media scare tactic perhaps?? All very strange though regardless!

I wouldn't be surprised if they start blaming Russians and Putin if the plane was downed by a weapon.

Taiwan airline suspects bad weather caused crash

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — Stormy weather trailing behind a typhoon was the likely cause of a plane crash on a Taiwanese island that killed 48 people on board and injured 10 on the plane and five on the ground, the airline said Thursday.

The ATR-72 operated by Taiwan's TransAsia Airways was carrying 58 passengers and crew when it crashed while trying to land in the Penghu island chain in the Taiwan Strait between Taiwan and China late Wednesday. The plane was flying from the city of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan.

Wonder if someone or some group have finally figured out how to hack Aeroplane Controls during flight? It seems odd that so much has been going on with Aviation in such a short period of time.

this report from Reuters shows discrepancies already about the time it was "lost"

"The company said in a notice posted on its website that the aircraft took off from Burkina Faso at 0117 GMT (2117 ET) and was supposed to land in Algiers at 0510 GMT but never reached its destination.

An Algerian aviation official said the last contact Algerian authorities had with a missing Air Algerie aircraft carrying 116 people from Burkina Faso to Algiers was at 0155 GMT when it was flying over Gao, Mali.

Aviation authorities in Burkina say they handed the flight to the control tower in Niamey, Niger, at 1:38 am (0138 GMT). They said last contact with the flight was just after 4:30 a.m. (0330 GMT)."

It is not unlike the time confusion with MH370 I do wonder do the flight controllers actually know what they are doing !

Yes, because the world is run by those evil Zionists, right? For your information, everybody is mentioning what is happening in Gaza, so you don't have to worry about it, and spread false information.

And as for another plane crushing, I have no idea what's going on nowdays with planes. Maybe we rely on computers way too much while flying a plane, and there are some sort of mistakes in the system...I have no idea, it's just a thought.

I was going to mention something to do with 'Aliens' myself in my post up above but thought better of it.

The pilot said he was trying to avoid these storms just before the crash:

There have been so many airplanes accidents lately, this is not normal. On top of that all accidents had many disturbing and mysterious backgrounds, that we can make a lot of conspiracy theories behind this . They are sure keeping us in the dark...
