What are the odds that the second airliner in a row to be lost should belong to Malaysia Airlines?

Or that Kuala Lumpur should be the terminus?

Who would benefit from a second Malaysia airliner going missing?

I Reiterate,
Put some ice in your hats, both parties should post radar tracking info ,
preferrably with all available stats for cross referall. That should lay down some hard evidence.

They were all flying well under the air route used by commercial flights, and apparently shot down by MANPADS systems, which can't reach high enough to endanger a commercial flight at cruising altitude.

Depends on who or what was on the plane

Jesus, how do you mistake a commercial airliner for a military target? Even at 30,000 feet.....God help us all indeed. Especially if a Russian SAM was used.

That website needs to release ALL the Snowden files already because at this rate war WILL be upon us by the end of July.

The news is reporting based on the debris field that the plane came apart at altitude which does give credence to missile strike.

Who stands to gain by this happening?

That's always a good place to start.

So pro-Russian separatists mistakenly shot down a civilian aircraft over the Ukraine?

Is this right so far?

Alright, apparently it is a well traveled route. Still not smart IMO to keep a major airway open through an active warzone...You'd think they could adjust the 'main highway' a little for construction (war) so to speak...

Anyways, it has happened and what is done is done. I just want to throw this out there though before the war drums are beating. Is it more likely that Russia/Putin or the Ukrainian rebels downed an airliner to self destruct themselves in the eyes of the world? Or is it more likely that the failing Ukrainian government is using a false flag to drum up international support for themselves where they failed to do so last time?

The latter seems much more likely to me......Why on Earth would Russia should down an airliner? It makes absolutely no sense for them to do. None.

The only reason one of the rebels would down the airliner is simply if they were a sick f*** with a big gun acting alone IMO.

exactly....
Putin signs 2 days ago documents BRICS bank and now this
something is going on...

That's strange.

Since commercial airliners must maintain their given altitude, unless otherwise instructed.

Why would they be flying so low?

what about a bomb on board.. would the debris field look the same?

they're saying they lost contact for a good period of time prior to the crash.
