Just saw Dutch press conference.

280 people aboard 154 Dutch, 27 Australians, 23 Malaysians, 11 Indonesians, and some Filiphinos and Germans.

And at least 6 Brits.

Sorry missed that, and some Belgians, one Canadian and some others I forgot.

Well Russian s300's are pefectly capable of shooting down an airliner.

Who knows I am sure it was just an 'accident'.

Why would Russia shot a random pasenger plane down?

They wouldn't, but there might be certain parties who would benefit from creating the impression that Russia or those it supports DID shoot a random passenger plane down - particularly if there are a significant number of Americans or other westerners onboard.

I wonder who those parties might be.

Cui bono?

Told ya all it was shot down by the Russian extremist who are really just russians who where given better technology by Russia and Putin.Guy is a lair.
Putin blamed the crash on Ukraine because they flied over a war zone.Finding out the Putin is a sneaky but bad dictator.

Still waiting on some evidence to be presented other than he said she said by different propoganda agencies. I haven't seen anything proven yet. People switched from Ukraine not having any weapons to shoot that high, to saying the rebels stole it from the Ukrainians. Which one is it? Why couldn't it have been Ukraine that shot it down now that we know that they DO have some of these SAM's?

Putin propaganda machine is RT..claims Ukraine was targeting Putin over Ukraine ...hiarlious insane propaganda.

Actually, RT is a pretty good news source.

It's true that they are focusing on the Ukraine being at fault, but it doesn't mean it's pro-Putin propaganda.

Yeah, Russia approved shooting this plane down, the world is fooled by Putin's game. Sending in troops with no distinguishable markings etc etc... That's the game do things then bold face lie about the truth, because as you know in this world all you have to do is say you didn't see what you saw and that's it, no action can be taken against you. Too bad you can't do that when you commit a crime in the United States...

Anyway nothing is going to become of this. Every time some group of people are gassed to death with sarin nerve gas, shot out of the sky on the way to a vacation, or a country is invaded, or some rogue nut sinks a korean ship with torpedoes or bombards islands and makes threats they all just get stronger knowing that they have free reign in this world because there are cowards in charge of defending peace.

Um…

Russia Today is a Putin-directed propaganda machine, started and run by two Putin cronies; Mikhail Lesin and Aleksei Gromov. I though all ATS members were aware of that?

Get prepared for Ukraine to declare all out war before to long and take back Ukraine.

Oddly enough, I've always seen 717. I posted about it a few years ago Link

Made all of these 7 and 17 references interesting to me.
A little while ago there was a TV series shown on uk tv, it was titled Sherlock. Basically Sherlock Holmes in the modern world.
In one of the episodes they had a plane (747 flight 007) that had been filled with dead bodies. They intended to blow it up so that it looked like it had been done by terrorists!

All those 7's - The missing Malaysian plane - and now this!

Yes, I am aware of that. I'm just speaking from my experience with their content and they do seem to be a decent media outlet.

I've been watching their coverage of this incident and they are focusing their attention on the Ukraine, but have been pretty good about saying they do not know all the facts as of now.

No I never said there weren't any bodies burned I'm sure there are plenty in the front section of the plane which exploded, I have seen the pictures of the other parts of the plane where it is clear that they were in a section that wasn't burned, I am suggesting that the 1st responders to that scene are where the passports were collected from.
And what is there to prove, 295 people died today and I find it very disrespectful to the people that died that people are already trying to suggest that these people didn't exist and are just part of some wild conspiracy before the dust has even settled.

My first thought when I read this was "it's the same plane"........we need the serial numbers from this latest incident to be sure but that's never going to happen.

Or, it's a different plane and this is just an excuse to kick off something against Russia, epescially as new sanctions were announced only a day or two before.

Way to many coincidences in any case, 2 planes from the same airline in a matter of months? Hmmmmmmm, how bout no.

Ukraine can barely handle the mercenaries and the separatists. They don't REALLY want war with Russia. Who stopped Putin in Georgia? The fact of the matter is....Moscow knows what Ukraine has militarily, where they hide it for the most part, and all the weak points to strike. Ukraine used to be theirs. The only thing Kiev will do is get a lot of people killed. Nobody on the United States friends list is even a factor militarily. Russia would wipe # and leave skidmarks on any army in Europe, probably the armies of all of Europe combined. I don't see Ukraine taking much of anything other than a good ole fashioned passionate ass whippin. All the more reason this seems like a false flag. Ukraines ship is sinking. They need help. BAD. Enter NATO.

Heh, without the help of the United States. Obama is a real disappointment as a President. He's President of a Country that is in the middle of a World Wide State of War, but he want's no part of it. No one wants war but you have to do something. Putin calls Obama on the phone as a part of his ploy to swing that carrot in front of the donkey. Obama just buys it hook line and sinker... Then Putin walks away from the phone chuckling at this fool. lol

We've had Russians ships probing us, there was a Russian destroyer 140 miles off the coast of California a few months ago, Russian bombers testing the U.S. airspace.

So which shady government official runs ATS?

Pretty interesting how the owner of ATS finds it necessary to jump in and criticize RT. Kinda explains a lot of the staff bias lately.

Thank you for explaining this. My question now is why was a decompression blamed at one point for a lack of debris field when looking for mh370? Also please don't think that I have been saying that the only possible way this could have happened was if mh370 and mh17 were swapped in some way, only that it was a possibility. I felt I should clear that up because after reading my posts it appears that I may have given that impression.
