The irony here is that I was just listening to a security analyst on NPR explain that while the world and news was focused on the Israel/Palestinian conflict, that Ukraine had been going to hell with Russia amassing troops and talking about a ground invasion and shipping gobs of arms to the rebels....distraction....Now the news shifts to Ukraine for an afternoon and Israel invades Gaza!

That plus initially the rebels/russian mercenaries denied that a plane went down..until some Einstein realized it could not be contained. This is what happens when Russia arms mercenaries that don't know how to use the technology they are given.

The "rebels" shot down two military planes in the last few weeks in the same territory...they got cocky...and can't tell the difference between civilian and military cargo planes.

The rebels don't get their arms from Russia. The rebels get their arms from Ukraine when the Ukrainian armed forces surrender them before they are taken prisoner or switch sides. The rebels captured this Buk missile system from Ukrainian forces. They have also captured several tanks, APCs, and an Su 25 warplane. The rest of the arms they have, including all of the shoulder fired missile launchers, they had before the conflict began. The area in which the rebels live in is a pro Russian area which received the best weapons and training from the previous pro Moscow Ukrainian government. Russia is not supplying the freedom fighters with weapons, and not one single Russian active duty military member is fighting in Ukraine. Retired ex military and non military citizens of Russia have joined the fighting. What you are being told by Western media is nothing but lies. The US puppet regime in Kiev is losing the war and losing a lot of troops. It is so bad that the Ukrainian population which wanted to commit genocide of the people living in the east is starting to turn against this war and wants to bring their boys home. The losses are becoming too great for the population to stomach. We have a Viet Nam situation, and like in Viet Nam the people running the show, the CIA, will not let the war end.

To Everyone, did you see there were no explosians before the plance crashes? The plane clearly was not shot down. Watch all the videos, and see how the plane was not even smoking before he crashed.

No, because this plane apparently didn't dive into the ground. There are reports of bodies falling onto a village well short of the crash location, which means there had to have been a hole in the fuselage prior to impact.

Shame that happened... But why would anyone in their right mind route a commercial flight over a conflicted area where things in the airspace will get shot at? And it should seem obvious that neither the Russians nor Ukranians are going to trust transponder codes anymore than they do each other.

I guess common sense isn't?
