American education isn't, if its better prove it. I am quite sure the American education system was at its finest peek back in its days before your crazy leaders, but now it isn't.

. . . Not to get to 'off-topic' but you're right especially when it comes to D1 universities. I can speak for the Biological sciences, chemistry, biochem, microscopy, etc - - that most projects nowadays get funded by the U.S. govt & what THEY want to be studied.

College students/professors don't mind doing the govt projects so they can get ANY TYPE of funding so they can publish their papers. . .

Basically:

College students do ALL the grunt work -- Corporations exploit that hard work to profit.

Sunday, August 3
10:39 GMT:
A group of OSCE monitors deployed to the Gukovo Russian border checkpoint in the Rostov Region witnessed a shell hitting the facility after it was fired from Ukrainian territory, a spokesman for the FSB’s Border Guards division told Itar-Tass.

The shell exploded but caused no casualties among the observers, or among the personnel at the checkpoint, he added. A damage report would be available after an assessment, which would start after the clashes nearby in the Ukrainian territory are over, the spokesman said.

Really? nice try i am not as i had suspected the majority of Israeli supporters would be the ones hating or blaming Russia for everything which is a common tradition.

Am I blaming Russia for everything...No.

Am I blaming Russia for what has been happening in Ukraine...Yes.

Nowhere have you seen me say I supported Israel so trying to make that connection is a fail.

You should be the one to learn what an Stalin era is unless your getting all the facts from the internet or FOX news on this matter.

You see that is where you are wrong as I could care less about Fox news and what they say, also know there are things such as history books and libraries where one can go and learn about history so your assumptions are hilarious.

So since you know so much please feel free to teach me about the Stalin era since you are a historian on that era or am I assuming something that you are not, because you seem to think nobody knows anything about history?

Two same things.

How is that?

Following Stalins ideology does not make you Stalin...there is a difference.

Yes, it is most interesting how silent the US media has suddenly become about this incident. All the war-mongering sentiment of the first week has now gone silent.

My bet is that is because the facts and evidence make it more obvious that the US and Ukraine have been bluffing since the beginning, bluffing and spinning.

How embarrassing. A false flag that seems to be falling apart.

Most of it is at this point the battle for Ukraine is almost done there down to a very small area still held by the separatists. The west is moving on to other stories Ukraine was never truly a big deal to the west other than Russia making a land grab if Russia didnt annex Crimea it would have remained a minor story. What there starting to look at now is things like the mass graves the separatists left behind there building the case for war crimes. Separatist were not so nice to the people they were there to supposedly protect. But thats still a developing story not alot of movement sine that requires time.

As far as the war Russia is at a tipping point the separatists lost its over for them and unless Russia plans an invasion this story is almost over. Now its a mater of dealing with the costs of the conflict and trying to repair all the damage done emotionally and physically. The stories coming out of Slovyansk are chilling and heart breaking.

Ah Really? last time i remember not to sure whom either you or some here were claiming the exact same things about Syria and Assad.

On how Assad forces are almost done there down to a very small area still held by renaming forces in Aleppo and elsewhere but in the end that proved rather the opposite of the battles in Syria.

The usual straw man deflection on the education part.

Are you an Military strategist? historian? related on Russian Topics? quite probably not.

The majority of Today's American Youth dont care about books or libraries knowing that they have the internet to do that for them.

Following Stalins ideology does not make you Stalin...there is a difference.

Is putin following Stalins ideology? the answer is no, of course the only ones whom believe he does are NeoCons and i am starting to think your an NeoCon.

Both is the same. And also i dont see you blaming America for Ukraine ironic.

Yes, but at least we have a choice as to what we see, whereas the Russians not so much.

Having the freedom to choose what we get for news makes it easier to see through the crap, but in Russia all you get is the crap for news, or at least their version of it.

What deflection I never said the US had the best school sytem, hell I went through it I know it is bad, but to say I am deflecting it somehow when this is a thread about Malaysian flight 777, so why is so important that I help you take this thread off topic?

Are you an Military strategist? historian? related on Russian Topics? quite probably not.

Do I need to be to read books on the subject? Quite probably not.

The majority of Today's American Youth dont care about books or libraries knowing that they have the internet to do that for them.

See something we can agree on.

It is sad to see the youth of today don't have a clue about libraries and books, it used to be a good place to get away from the world for some peace and quiet.

Is putin following Stalins ideology? the answer is no, of course the only ones whom believe he does are NeoCons and i am starting to think your an NeoCon.

Really, because Stalin wanted buffer countries to keep from having a direct invasion of Russia, so now what is Russia biggest gripe...not having buffer countries because they fear an invasion from NATO.

No your right they are nothing alike.

Both is the same. And also i dont see you blaming America for Ukraine ironic.

No they aren't the same because I blame them for Ukraine, but I don't blame them for things they haven't gotten started like they did in Ukraine.

Why should I blame America, did we go over and annex Crimea and start a separatists movement against Ukraine gov't and are we supplying arms to those separatists to fight the gov't...Not really ironic just a stretch by you.

Since you claim to understand history you might want to read this. Its from a former ambassador to Russia who does have a degree in Russian studies and gives you a very unique behind the scenes look at Putin and his goals. think this just falls into the discussion.

Although Kiselyov denies that he gets direct instructions from the Kremlin, he was appointed by Putin and is under no illusions about what is expected of him. When he goes on an anti-Semitic tirade against an opposition journalist or mocks American officials, he is doing what he was hired to do. He is a wily, cynical man, and well briefed. When we met, he quickly wanted me to know that he had somehow seen a film of a speech I’d given a couple of years ago in Moscow. “You mesmerized the public, you made them zombies!” he said, delighted with himself. “They looked at you the way they would a boa constrictor!”

When I noted that Putin’s tone had changed, he said, “I agree. Putin now talks more about ideology and about the system of values and the spiritual origins of Russia. In this sense, he, too, is a person of tardy development. He became President unexpectedly. He had no preparation for this role. He had to respond to challenges in the course of things. At first, he had to reconsolidate the state. Now he has inspired a new energy that can be drawn from the national character and the system of values that are rooted in our culture.”

Putin, Kiselyov has said on the air, “is comparable among his predecessors in the twentieth century only with Stalin.” He meant it as a compliment.

Putin is a nationalist, NOT a communist.
The Russian State today is very different from a Soviet State.

The comments you quote refers to character, not beliefs. It shows that Putin is a man of strong will power.

Different people read a man's character differently. An American ambassador is schooled in certain thought process which is reflected in his writing.

Nope i have no concern what goes on in Syria has always been screwed up will always be. But were discussing Ukraine and the downing of the jet and the stuff that lead up to it. In other words Syria has nothing what so ever to do with this and this is nothing more than a cheap diversion trying to change the topic. So in other words your wrong i never said that nor will i i havnt followed syria no personal interest i have relatives in Russia and Ukraine so its sort of relevant to me.

Hmm a nationalist you mean like Hitler that was his claim as well. Think id prefer to be called a communist over a nationalist. They tend to grab power and take territory as being there ultimate goal is to elevate the state. See nationalists tend to put their group above all others even advocating violence or extermination. You know like the nationalists in Russia who want to exterminate and torture the gay community. On second thought your probably right hes a nationalist. I guess it just took the west a little time to figure it out much like Hitler the west can be slow at recognizing the evils of nationalism because well frankly its harder to understand than even communism.

Must be his drivers licence photo that and someone needs to buy him a beard trimmer for christmas. But isnt it ironic how Putin supporters go after an editor of a magazine. I guess they are so used to exterminating ant dissenters especially in the media that if they cant arrest him that leaves personal attacks as a way to discredit there voice. Sou nd familiar i know someone did this in the 30s and 40s and used this very method to get the media under control.

Yes, I understand that news stories are often just a passing fad. The media must do that, and the populace is duly conditioned.

But that does not necessarily mean that there is not other meaning associated with silence on a given story.

The US media had Putin & Russia tried, convicted and sentenced in less than 24 hours after the incident, which had not even been investigated yet. The story was reported and defined by the US military. They were certain of the "facts" though they never provided any evidence at all to support their claims.

And in the meantime, Ukraine refused to release the ATC data explaining how and why MH17 had its course and altitude changed.

If they were so very certain, why not show their cards? Why not prove it?

That is, why must they hide it from the international community?

Because they have something to hide, that's why.

And now the media is beginning to realize it too.
