Who say's they haven't? It would be standard in any investigation to hand them over to those doing the investigation, not release them for everyone. It is pretty standard in any criminal investigation to not release evidence to the public until you have completed said inquiry.
but the first thing the SBU did was release a supposed "smoking gun" recording of the seperatists, so either that was a total fabrication released for propaganda purposes, or the SBU doesn't give a damn about standard investigation protocols.

Somewhat like the way the Russians did with their evidence of a non existing SU 25 following MH 17?

And you don't think it would be prudent for the SBU to give them all the ATC data as well?
ATC is shared live thats how they track planes in flight so they had it from the very beginning not sure why you guys are arguing over this.

At least Russia waited a week, not while the wreckage was still burning.
That's because they needed to time to create that mountain of evidence they trotted out about a plane following MH 17, and they did a poor job at that.

I believe I said this in another comment, but the first thing the SBU did was release a supposed "smoking gun" recording of the seperatists, so either that was a total fabrication released for propaganda purposes, or the SBU doesn't give a damn about standard investigation protocols. Neither inspires much confidence in their motives or abilities. Besides, nothing has been reported anywhere regarding the ATC data, other than it being confiscated by the SBU.

So making up a nonsense story is OK if you wait a while??

Why is it that you think nonsense has more credibility if it is generated a bit later on in the timeline/?
It's still nonsense after all!
