Secondly I did not make a mistake. I responded to a post where someone speculated as to why Ukraine would need sams in that area. The person failed to look at the other side of the coin and only at Ukraine.

Of course not.. When you are pro Russian rebels and you shoot down a civilian airliner you dont want people to find out about. Everything the rebels are doing are confirming their responsibility in the shootdown.

Blame your Prime Minister, Tony Abbott for the butchers bill of innocent Australian victims.

He's the one that covered up the first act of war involving Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.

Maybe if your friends had known the truth they wouldn't have flown on Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

I am very sorry for your loss and wish more than anything that the perpetrators are brought to justice, which is WHY I am questioning the events here on ATS.

Winds. Planes very very rarely fly their exact course as planned. Turbulence and winds will get them off it.

So you are saying that they don't plan a course based on all data, including weather data available at the time of plotting and stick to that, but that the wind actually pushes them off course like a sailng ship, without them correcting for it getting them on a course 100 miles or so more south?

Nobody has said till now that Russian ATC was informed or knew of the plane's path.

More than the issue of who shot the plane is the issue why the plane was there in the first place.

Do you know for a fact that the aircraft was off course?? or are you simply basing this assumption on a computer graphic that someone has drawn lines on, rather than basing on the actual flight plan the pilots programmed into the FMS together with route clearance obtained by ATC?

But while on the subject how would you like it if your family died in such a manner and a bunch of rebel soldiers were picking through their remains, taking photos and videos on their phone and disturbing the scene of the crash whilst keeping investigators at bay?

Do you think it's ok that somebody's dead, naked child is on liveleak for all to see? Do you think it's appropriate to film something like that and upload it to the internet? Do you think it's ok that the camera operator in one of the videos zoomed in on a dead woman's breasts?

You seem to have no understanding how inappropriate it is that investigators are being kept at bay while photos and videos of this nature are being uploaded to the internet. It's absolutely appalling.

People are still trying to claim the rebels did not have them. Then it went to Ukraine has them but there is no need to have them in that area since the rebels do not have aircraft.

People are still sidestepping the issue by ignoring the info about the rebels. Thats my point.

It was inflammatory rhetoric.

No one is "poking with sticks".

All I've seen is humble rural people who have placed sheets over the deceased out of RESPECT.

Something you obviously have NO concept of.

I can't believe how some people can think that the bodies are fake/there are no bodies. Most bodies are severely disfigured and scattered over 10+km's. Besides that, such a statement shows huge disrespect to the relatives and dead persons. I'm Dutch and have friends who knew some of the people. Is it even allowed for discussion? I don't rule out a false flag, but it's obvious that many people tried in a tragic way. Our government is working overtime at the moment, but it seems we can't do much.

A possibility would be to declare the crash site Dutch soil. Ideally, done by the Ukrainian or Russian government (as a sign of good will) and dispatch a team of special forces to secure it (and return what's left of the bodies to the families). We don't have much of a military, but it could be done. Heck, we even send our troops to Afghanistan and Iraq. There would be danger of further escalation though, as the Dutch troops would be trigger happy after seeing how the separatists robbed the bodies of their possessions.
