Oh it's nice to see someone STILL proofreads! It drives me nuts when I read an article from a "news" website and it's clear they didn't proofread or use spell/grammar check. Drives me insane!

But seriously, WHAT is your problem?

You do know that ATS has another side called "BTS" meaning Below Top Secret. BTS has anything from celebrity gossip to cooking to jokes. It's pretty sad that you felt the need to come into a thread and say such a thing. I have ZERO patience for members like you, move on.

Also the song rings TRUE for the internet and how people abuse the English language! I see it on here ALL the time especially when I know the poster is American. I read feeds on various sites and I CRINGE at the lack of grammar and spelling. It is sad that people think it's ok to type in code and not proofread or use spell check when ALL computers have it now! It underlines and even autocorrects on some computers. So there is really NO excuse other than pure laziness but that is my opinion.

I still remember my 6th grade English teacher, Mrs. Michaels. She was HARD and I credit her for my Grammar Nazi tendencies. She was not easy but she was damn good because guess what I never forgot her grammar rules!

Exactly! I know I can BE a grammar nazi but I am also not perfect. I mess up here and there and believe me it DRIVES ME NUTS if I can't edit it. LOL!

I had to google that one. I had no idea what that meant. Now that I do, yea it drives me nuts when someone types like that online! I just want to "red pen" their post! hehe.

I had really harsh English teachers as a kid in school. No joke. If you misspelled something you had to write it 50 times. If you misspelled it while rewriting it you had to do it 100 times. It went on from there, so yea all it took was one mess up and writing a word of phrase 100 times and you NEVER forgot it!

Our World Government teacher in high school was also a HUGE "grammar nazi" with his grading. He graded our NOTES! Oh he was so hard BUT he is one I will never forget either.
