It seems Obama LLC has had some help from leaders of nations where the recent illegal immigration onslaught originates.

Meeting after meeting and agreement after agreement that led right into the "decision" to relax the enforcement of existing laws.

All in favor of petty jealousies emanating from the Administration that can't get any laws passed and insists on blaming everybody else for their own massive failures and boondoggles.

The miracle dream timeline starts in 2009....

As Expected Homeland Security Announces Anticipation of 90,000 Illegal UAC’s This Year Alone…

“As long as (U.S.) immigration reform is not approved, the exodus of children to the United States will continue,” Jorge Ramon Hernandez, the senior representative of Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez, said at the talks.

Honduran President Vows To Keep Dumping Illegal Alien Children On U.S. Border Until His Friend President Obama Says To Stop….

The crack that got to big to fail....

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) is a memorandum authored by the Obama administration on June 15, 2012. It was implemented by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. It directs U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to practice prosecutorial discretion towards some individuals who immigrated to the United States as children and are currently in the country illegally.

People are wizening up to all this and getting pretty pissed off. They should have gotten upset long before this.

Yeah this whole thing was a setup. Premeditated invasion.

I still like the idea of a moat with alligators and the 2000 mile barbed wire fence.

And lots of bus tickets to send them all back. Enough is enough.

I don't think the Obama administration anticipated the amount of resistance that it has gotten from the population concerning the influx of illegal aliens.

Not that it will change anything they do.

They'll just stop lying about it now.

I can't help but be reminded of Monty Pythons life of Brian.

"This calls for immediate...discussion!"

It's not a discussion when only one side does the talking.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Written by Emma Lazarus in 1883, titled "The New Colossus", and inscribed at the base of our Statue of Liberty. I remember once upon a time where the idea of the US being a "melting pot" was something that we measured with pride but it is ever the case that when economic desperation takes hold of a nation that they become increasingly nationalized and distrustful or even resentful of those who may land on our shores in desperation.

I don't think so either.

Hell according to one of this henchman at the Department of Injustice thousands of children 'yearning for free stuff' isn't what keeps him up at night.

It's home grown people that immigrated here 'legally'.

Absolutely true.

The level of Administration arrogance was higher in 2009.

But it's only a little lower now.

This might have legs if it these kids don't get sent home. We should setup a pool.

Insisting the immigrant children should be returned to their parents, Biden also said "immigration reform has not died".

"The (administration) message that is coming out now is 'Don't come,'" the U.S. official said in an interview. "And if you think you're coming and once you're here you won't be returned, that's not the case. You're not going to be able to stay. And that's the message that we're hoping will dissuade these young people," the official added. It is a tough message, but one that many experts think will fail to shut a spigot that Washington estimates will bring at least 60,000 "unaccompanied minors" to the U.S. border this year and grow to 120,000 next year, up from 6,000 in 2011.

excerpts from article that was the source of OP's source

I guess we'll see? I wonder if they're all sent home if there will be 1,000 mea culpa threads?

But many people think the current onslaught is being sponsored for a different reason.

Today's "immigration" is not yesterday's.

Two different agendas. Two different results.

Different laws, different times.

Now may not be the time for historical daydreams.

Professionals are at work. And they're not from the "Ethics Board".

Are you referring to the children? From what I understand, most of those children are coming from Honduras and escaping some very, very bad stuff.

Right, when Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million illegals in 1986, that was a good thing because it was Reagan. Bush and other GOP leaders trying unsuccessfully a half dozen times to grant amnesty while the illegal immigrant population rose to it's highest level ever (higher than it is now) was also a completely different thing I'm sure?

Because Obama is in office, illegal immigration is no longer about people looking for work and a better life, it's about voter fraud. Because you know, shoes.

I agree.

I should have been clear.

2009 level = 100%

2014 level = 99.9%

But maybe his 2014 level is actually 105%

Right, when Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million illegals in 1986, that was a good thing because it was Reagan.

Try again.

And as part of that little deal the border was suppose to be secured.

It never was.

Then follow up with the following 6 Amnesties since the days of Reagan.

The only reason for amnesty is to get voters because a certain party alienates us legals who have wise up to their snip.

Which is why every few years it's AMNESTY TIME.

The biggest reason for the swiss cheese of that thing called a border is because politicians benefit from it.

Which is why they will never do anything about it.

Never letting a good crisis go to waste here comes amnesty # 8 few more years down the road it will be # 9 few more year after than there will be another amnesty.

That is if there is any nation left by then.

Lot of US evil righties want NO part of amnesty and see it for what it is.

Rewarding those who willfully break the law.

This latest influx is different though, something is definitely up. It feels more like a diversion than an invasion. My guess is a Russian nuke came across that border while we were all focused on the kids.

The US is still a giant melting pot and I don't recall seeing anyone post against the idea of people legally immigrating to this country. Frankly, I don't think Americans in the 1880's would be particularly enthralled with swarms of undocumented people hopping the borders either.

In 1883 when that poem was written, the population was just over 50 million. It was a time when there was no federal income tax levied on legal citizens. There was also no welfare, food stamps, medicaid, obamaphones, childcare assistance, energy assistance, social security/disability, vehicle assistance, WIC, etc. The people that immigrated here built their own futures. They learned the language, didn't expect or ask for special privileges and assimilated into their communities. They earned their citizenship through hard work and determination.

To make matters worse, the people that are trying to legally immigrate into the US have to wait longer for the opportunity due to all the illegals taking the easy way over.
