You'd think, after the discovery of Stuxnet, that by now all "critical" infrastructure, power stations etc would be completely self contained and off the net entirely.


Nope, and even worse the chips used in those "critical" systems are most likely manufactured in China. There can be billions of transistors in computer chips and it would be nearly impossible to catch a high quality clone that was designed with a backdoor that can override the system.

So what you are saying is you didn't bother to read or understand my OP or my response to your post. I don't think I could have spelled it out any more simpler than I already have.

Maybe you can point out in my post where I said the US does not do these things. I mean based on your posts you apparently got confused somewhere on that issue.
