Israel bombed dozens of sites in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, striking at Hamas after finding the bodies of three missing teenagers whose abduction and killing it blames on the Palestinian Islamist group.

Israel's security cabinet, which held an emergency session late on Monday and was due to meet again on Tuesday, was currently split on the scope of any further action in the coastal enclave and the occupied West Bank, officials said.

Reuters Article

While I am not surprised that they reacted this way, it does worry me. This part of the world is so volatile right now, I cannot imagine what it must be like to live there. Why Hamas felt the need to kill three teens is beyond me. I guess I will just never understand these senseless acts of violence.

Typical .. unlike the rest of the civilized world where they conduct police investigations and arrest the guilty to stand trial israel skips that and murders more with airstrikes and no due process or trial ..

The israeli internet defence force will be along in 3... 2... 1... to justify mass murder of innocents by airstrike ..

Israel has a long history of retaliation, you are not going to harm, kidnap, kill, an Israeli without retaliation. Anytime a muslim extremist country, group or individual does anything they know they will pay a price. Something this country doesn't do. What do you think would happen if an Israeli soldier was in a Mexican prison like ours is? You let him out or we go get him. With our current administration he sits ignored even after a 100K signature petition is signed to do something.

I guess I will just never understand these senseless acts of violence.

Try and see it as propaganda to justify the ten fold worse crime of bombing their own country (Gaza) and the helpless people that are dying there.

It always helps before perpetrating some tragedy to blame the victims of your intended crime.

First they should have to provide proof, you know that thing that verifies those guilty before taking any action. However we all know they do not have to do this, for all we know they made the entire story up to further some kind of hidden agenda. I mean it is not as if they have ever done this before right!

I heard on the radio in Australia this morning that the 3 kids had been found dead and the first thing I thought is is why is 3 dead isreali kids important considering that more than 3 kids end up dead in many more countries than israel.

Then I wondered why this news was of such importance that it was the first item on the news.

I could not avoid coming to the conclusion that 3 israeli kids are far more important than 3 kids from any other country and the jews own the world media. Only by owning the media could they make it a) the first item on the news and b) be newsworthy and c) ensure it gets covered in other countries of the world. If the media was own by non jews it would not have made the news and even if it did it certainly not been the first item on the news.

Talk about incontrovertible evidence that the jews own the world media.

God DAMN IT!

How many more times does this need repeating?

Airstrikes are not a law enforcement measure, and even if they could somehow be argued to be such a thing, DOZENS of them is not a proportional or sensible response to the alleged stimulus. More to the point, for a nation such as Israel, which has at its disposal the most effective, lethal, terrifying, and dangerous intelligence organisation ever devised by man, it is incredible that they would not deploy that asset in the pursuit of justice, rather than drop bombs on dozens of targets. Unless, that is, their intention is not to prosecute justice, but merely to excuse the murder of hundreds of people living under those bombs, justified targets or not.

One hundred thousand times a bitter curse upon the government of Israel, and it's xenophobic and reprehensible treatment of its neighbours. They are an insult to their people, and to the faith they claim to hold.

Of course my stupid comparison never stated US law was world law. Was it a stupid comparison or was it acknowledging that Israelis do a better job protecting their citizens than we do. If you can manage a raid on Entebe to rescue kidnaped citizens in another sovereign country then you are doing a better job. When you spend years tracking down WWII war criminals you're doing a better job.

And as the Mexicans break the law everyday in this country why are you so quiet? Are we not sovereign? They even fly over in helicopters and shoot at our border agents. Or is it just a matter of being caught?

The only thing missing here is your understanding of what I wrote, and that would be stupid.

Not just its neighbors, have you seen documentaries about LEGAL immigrants to Israel? Their stance is basically "If you are not jewish f**k off or be insulted / beaten".

But on the other hand, the airstrikes are not just because of the 3 teenagers, there were "reported" missile attacks from the strip in the last 7 days and this was the straw that broke the camels back.

Slight issue, Hamas (who normally take responsibility) have said "wasnt us" and it was just an excuse to start a small war again. It is beyond disgusting in this day and age that this cr*p still happens.

My 2 cents

One never knows what to believe with that israel.

Could three teens have been killed? Yes.

Could it all be lies and propaganda? Yes.

Will we ever know the truth? Probably not.
