What a post. You do have a point that no one is making films to kill current leaders. But no one should be apologizing to NoKo, not now, not ever. The last thing we want to be telling them we're sorry over a stupid comedy.

Does anyone even know how the film ends? Does the kill go through?

Maybe Hollywood should atleast consider name / movie plot changing altering...

No way, that would ruin the flick.

James Franco and Seth Rogen are a hoot together. This obviously isn't a serious movie. It's comedy. It's not meant to be serious. Just take a look at the history of the movies/clips Franco and Rogen have done. It's Hollywood buffoonery at it's best. They get a point across in their absurdities while all the while having fun. Kinda like South Park.

They shouldn't change a thing.

Wait wait wait, is there anything else to prove that "A North Korean foreign ministry spokesman" even said this ?? I fail to find anything convicing. This is typical promotion IMO.
Everyone wants to go and watch a politically incorrect film.
It almost looks as if The trailer has it is has been made so the "North Korean foreign ministry spokesman" could retaliate.

Bring it on fatty.

I have yet to meet a communist-socialist type who isn't offended by Humor.

People probably shouldn't underestimate the DPRK...

They may not follow through on a lot of their threats, but i feel that all of this can be compared to the boy who cried wolf. We will never expect them to follow through on a threat, but one day, they may very well do, and we will be taken by surprise.

I do agree that it is absolutely disrespectful. Kim has bought a lot of this on himself IMO, by his own actions. I had not thought of it the way you pointed out and can agree with most all of it. So I appreciate the fact that you took the time to type out a POV I hadn't considered.

That being said, I don't agree with the film makers being forced to cancel the movie. I think folks in politics are like celebrities and are pretty much fair game (comedy wise). I do think it is deliberate provocation, but most other leaders would be offended and move on. Kim is probably one of the only ones that would carry it this far. But he carries everything to the extreme, so there is that.

I thank you again for your POV because it actually did change my opinion on how I view the entire situation as a whole.

They don't follow through on any threats. The only reason they might ever want to follow through with one is if they are finally tired of their endless filth and starvation and that fat pig of a ruler seems quite content to live it up.

In conclusion, I dearly hope they do knock off those two feeble excuses for actors and do the rest of the world a huge favor.

Seriously though, when I was a kid, I wanted to impress this girl by having a small firecracker explode while I was holding it.

But the thing just went pfffffffft....... nothing. Needless to say, by wanting to play tough, I looked dumb.

The story of Kim Jung Un's threats in one little word.

Pffffffft.....

Yes, they actually do. I can point to the recent tensions between the DPRK and South Korea over the last year or so. One such threat of which the Northern state followed through on, was the closure of the jointly ran Kaesŏng Industrial Park. That was a huge development. There are more threats which were followed through on, too.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Yeah it's disrespectful. So what? It's Hollywood, baby. That's what they do. They rip our own country and leaders, why the hell would we apologize to that little tinpot freakshow over something Hollywood is doing?

Free speech and stuff, eh? We're going to let North Korea censor Hollywood now? Thanks for the additional laugh, anyway.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

How come NK can make "movies" about destroying the US but we can't make one about destroying NK?

lol

For some reason I think Hollywood has done much better..

Exactly. They make movies about killing and destroying the US all the time.

There is no difference here.

I hope Lil Kim actually does something this time so we can blow him up and end this charade.
