I know I'm a day late....but congrats to the LA Kings and all their fans for winning the Stanley Cup.
We DVR it to miss intermissions and commercials....and with it being almost two complete overtimes...quite a long and exciting game.

They were the best team in the playoffs, IMHO.
And now have the Cup and their rings to prove it!

[Being a Red Wings fan, I had to content myself watching other teams after the first round of playoffs

They deserved it more than anyone this season. Coming back from 0-3 against San Jose, shutting down the fearsome Ducks, and pushing through the unbeatable 'Hawks--well, they just had the heart and the passion to take it all the way.

It has never felt so torturous being a Kings fan as it has this playoff season, but with a most gratifying redemption. They just had a highly efficient team this time 'round. Stellar defense and goal-tending, and 4 offensive lines that got the job done (very rare for any team!)

Gone are the days when LA will be viewed as underdogs.

See you in Hockey Town next season

Watching a "taped" game? OK for a movie, but by Jove!... A game? And of hockey? How sacrilegious! lol

Yes, congrats to the Kings who beat those cheapshots of Rangers!

Did you see them hitting Quick, like they did with Tokarski, Price, Fleury and the goaler of the Flyers in the previous rounds?...

Can you tell I'm a Habs fan?

I hope we meet next year in the playoffs, Detroit!

Long live the Kings!

Yeah, well, we retire rather early here....and hate those damned commercials.
I've always liked Quick, great goalie....and yeah, he did get a bit roughed up....that one time was over the top.

I was appalled to see the injury to Price....after watching enough hits you see how many appear accidental and how many are questionable.
Also, how many falls seem a bit more than the hit.

Gotta say, Dustin Tokarski did pretty well for himself...after his first game jitters.

I also saw the hit to Stephan....hard to imagine that resulted in a broken jaw....and don't agree with the Prust suspension.

Grats to the Kings, they really did an impressive turn around to come up on top

So begins the doldrums of the off-season. October can't come soon enough
