No argument there. Whatever laws were on the books before did little to stop illegal surveillance, it's out of control now. It's not just the government though, it's our mega-corporations, treating the surveillance network like their own. They trade, buy and sell our personal info like a commodity and snoop into every facet of our personal communications.

The closest Obama has come to rectifying the situation is stating he would review the FISA court for greater oversight, but that hasn't happened, and it won't happen with the next president either. The US Patriot Act was a Pandora's box that will never be closed.

It is time to draft a new Constitution with adaptation to present state of the world. The old Constitution is dead, and will constantly be amended by assholes to screw the people without them aware of the screwing. We need to draft a new Constitution, one more connected to the state of the Union.

I fear you are right for years they have been giving us lip service as a distraction to remain status quo.

I am a little confused you want a new constitution? Why? The one we have is perfect if you could just get the president to follow it. Why don't you explain why the founding fathers are currently wrong and what you would change, this should be interesting. Don't let my signature line deter your ideas on how the founders were wrong.
