You chose to completely ignore it, and instead focus on the usage of the word "censor" in my thread title. That is a red herring. You are distracting from the real issue, which is that NBC did not include this very interesting segment in their prime time airing of the Snowden interview. Now you are saying they didn't include much of the interview in the first place, so it's irrelevant. That is at least somewhat of an answer to my question, and would seem to indicate you feel this has no significance at all.

I will have to agree to disagree with you on that last point.

Thank you for expressing that. Snowden in history will be deemed a true patriot. He gave up his life to make the world know that we were spying on everyone. If I ever had the money, I will contribute to make a statue of him in front of the White House.

I had my suspicions that snowden was controlled opposition, now I am pretty sure. He appears to be trying to reinforce the "meme" that 9/11 was something the US had no hand in, that was all terrorists from Afghanistan, Iraq or wherever, but had all the information to circumvent the event. Sorry, I don't buy that. If snowden had of said that the Bush administration could have called off the demolition of the WTC towers, that I would buy.

In either situation the executive/administration is a fault, people died on 9/11 and thereafter, either by negligence or misadventure at the hands of the US government.

Of course, a rational person knows that a deleted segment on youtube might grab 40,000 views. The segment aired on public TV might catch several billion people, internationally. Yes it was cut as an act of government ordered censorship.

Pretty sure everything he leaked is credible, which is why he is wanted by the government of the USA. If it was BS then I think that he would not have had to leave the country.

That is an interesting take on the situation. I'm not sure I would agree, however. I don't necessarily see Snowden as reinforcing the official story. I actually view his comments as subtly hinting that the government knew it was coming, and deliberately chose not to act. He didn't come right out and say it in so many words, but he definitely indicated it was his opinion the U.S was aware of the plot. The other thing I find interesting about his comments is that he seemed to think additional surveillance measures implemented as a result of 9/11 have actually done more to damage the abilities of counter-terrorist agencies than they have to help them. At least that is how I interpreted his comments about the haystacks, and heaping more hay on them instead of understanding the stacks in the first place.

I wouldn't be so quick to pin Snowden as being supportive of the OS, simply because he didn't come out and say the towers were brought down with controlled demolition. Even by implying the government failed to act to stop the attacks, he is still standing on the side of truth (imo). No matter what a person thinks about the events of that day, one thing is certain and is undeniable by ALL sides of the argument: The U.S government failed to prevent 9/11. Whether or not that failure was intentional is open to debate (I believe it was), and even if it wasn't, why wasn't anyone held accountable for those failures?

I'm thinking that Snowden believes/knows 9/11 was "an inside job" but to say it directly like that would turn probable followers away from him. He's best to keep this opinion to himself IMO.

Yeah, pretty much he's saying that gathering too much information is useless, that agencies and law enforcement are all that we need to keep security without loosing too much liberty. I believe he is right.

NBC censored out segments concerning 9/11 because it could affect Congressional hearings and investigations.

Now somebody got the "footage" and all Hell will break loose.

As the OP said.Snowden can't come right out and say it was an inside job.That would be playing right into the TPTB's hands he said that and the press and everyone else would use it as proof that he's nuts.It's better to present this to the public as a way to get them to look into it themselves.Think about it.A few people watch that clip and they start seeing everything the IC missed that would get them to start wondering.We all know despite all the attempts to get the public to either buy the OS or what I call the "oops/turf wars" theory stuff like Snowden's interview shows otherwise.I agree with what he said about putting more hay on the haystack increased surveillance has not worked.Terrorism is a law enforcement/military problem one that can be dealt with proven methods.

Maybe not new information, just confirmation that US intelligence services are not sufficiently competent to defend US soil? The segment was cut so as to not harm national confidence in the government and it's agencies?
