This is the reason there should almost never be a no knock warrant served on a citizens home. S.W.A.T teams should really only be used in hostage type situations, or in the rare case of a violent fugitive is known to be. Not someone that is believed to have a weapon or having or selling drugs.

No amount of bad parenting justifies what the cops did here. It is their responsibility alone to assure the safety of all individuals during the raids that they initiate.

Isn't posting your IQ together with the phrase "Come at me bro," slightly ironic? After all, that doesn't exactly make you Mensa material, now does it?

If anyone wants to see true "action" to prevent horrific things like this from happening in the future there is a way...a very effective way.

1. Find those responsible for the acts (both the individual who threw the device and his superiors who ordered it)
2. Create investigative boards comprised of both civil servants (not just police) and civilians.
3. Empower these investigative boards with the ability to mete out penalties.
4. Terminate those responsible.

5. Lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, seize the pensions of party's found to be responsible and provide those funds to the victims of such actions. In this way, the victims are compensated for their horrible losses, and the perpetrators are personally held accountable (not the taxpayers).

Do this just one or two times in high visibility cases like this and these kinds of senseless police actions will STOP!
