they were raped by other low castes , i know people like bringing in caste rape and everything else for a spicey title but its absolute nonsense and caste have nothing to do with it . It only shows lack of common sense or Deliberate omission of facts ..

Well that would be classism quite literally. But yes its a less than optimal starting point to export western values, especially because most Indians accept classism, so it aint like with the blacks, whom only needed to be supported in their drive for equality.

Ever country has it's class system and some it grew into a caste system such as england where the norman elite regarded the poor masses whom there ancestory defeated as SERF, from which we get SERVant, indeed they held the serf to be owned by the norman and only norman non nobles became freemen (not owned).
But in india the system is enshrined in Hindu belief and they have there belief in reincarnation to give them an opt out and to keep the poorest dumb and content believing if they are good they will be born into a higher cast next time around, so like there belief in transmigration of the reincarnated soul to lower life forms if a person is totally evil (They may be born as a slug) they regard the casts as different races and having different spiritual nature.
