Life's just a joke to you all, ain't it? Or are you all just trying to be something you're not?

Vain...

Either way, hope this doesn't happen. Would be a sad day.

Blessings upon all and may the first one bless you all.

No, life's not a joke. Just the dime store psychics who spew the never-ending parade of catastrophic predictions and specific dates they are to occur and never come to pass. People on here aren't vain, we're just weary of all the prognostications which never, luckily, come to fruition. I think 80% or more on here are prepared mentally and spirtually, and stockpiling for the worst case scenarios, though......... just in case.

Hey...maybe it's the only way the Universe could finally get rid of that pesky bug-eyed Pelosi nut job....voting hasn't worked.

Des

But Nancy, dear, you have to be swallowed by the big yawning chasm first, so you that you can find out what's in it.

Heehee, Des! Unfortunately, I think it would take much more than a mega quake to rid ourselves of this cockroach version of a useless politician.

Geology Nerd says: New Madrid isn't a subduction fault. That magnitude mid plate is unheard of. 8.4 maybe. Well see...

The real question is, would anyone really miss Memphis?

Hmmm, I'm not sure Mother Nature got that memo or cares what some "expert" says. I've read enough of the accounts of the 1811-12 quakes along the New Madrid to be uneasy when the ground begins to move in our area. IF you've never read any of the eyewitness reports of that time, do a Google on it.
The dream I had about it was over 20 years ago and yet it stuck with me and it also prompted me to take certain measures to become prepared should something of this nature actually happen in my lifetime.

Boy, this is the longest three days I have seen......not even a day gone by yet and it seems like a week. We gotta get more doom porn raining here on ATS. It's been too dry lately.

The best thing about a prediction like this (such a short period) is that one can really say what they think. As this discussion will probably never come back to haunt them. And in the exceptionally rare instance that it comes to pass . . . well, even more motive to have really said what they think. I mean really crazy stuff can be said. Here. Here is an example.

============

This earthquake is a warning to the financial instruments and their plastic ratings.

The Federal reserve has done a stellar bit of accounting and I trust their balances. The House on the other hand, instead of just paying the fee as they went, decided that any interest-on-the-money was too much interest-on-the-money and mortgaged the future. The problem is that while exemplary in its execution, the Federal reserve backed the wrong horse. The House instead of The People.

We The People demand a website where WE can rate the credit of every single financial instrument. I'm looking at you Congress. Between us and the Federal reserve we can pinch the banks and credit agencies into shape. The Federal reserve isn't going to like this at first, because the elite already have _their_ vision of a solar federation.

===============

The sky is not the limit!

I'm fine with these also. 99.999999% chance it won't happen, but when (if) it finally does, it's on record and that psychic should be afforded some credit for getting it right, after the hundreds of other's failed date predictions.

So what makes this not one of the "hundreds of others"? Is this a known psychic or something?

Purple bag Doritos are the best hands down. Try a little sriracha sauce with them and you'll be ready for the end of the world party.

Life's not anything without a sense of humor. Of course it would be tragic if this happened but the humor isn't about that it's about someone predicting something like this. If we can't laugh about it we'd all be crying instead. Rd

We are on FAILURE WATCH.
We actually like to look at doom porn and mock it.
And then we laugh like heck when it's wrong. (and it's always wrong)

I'm pretty sure mother nature SENT the memo and the USGS is just the messenger. These guys don't make stuff up they only report and educate based on events they have studied.

I think that would be considered more coincidence than an accurate prediction, it has to happen eventually.

We won't know until the 31st if this is to be categorized in the "hundreds of others" bin. My point was that it is fun to discuss and monitor these specific predictions, but none have come to pass that have been recorded on ATS. If one psychic is correct, then they should be recognized for that.
