Next month the Obama Administration will successfully by-pass Congress (again for the um-teenth time) when anticipated EPA regulations will be announced.

The target: CO2

The victims: people as usual.

Yes sir, the cap & trade deals will be flowing faster than a new oil well.

Take a deep breath and hold on to your wallets when the bills come in postage due.

Much of this will be "State" based (with Federal mandates naturally) and some of it is already happening.

It sounds like some States have been using the "Executive Order" ploy to get this trap set.

The banks & brokers will love the master plan.

Despite being soundly rejected a few years ago, cap-and-trade will soon get its U.S. encore — but not in Congress. The Obama administration will likely use its executive power to unilaterally impose carbon dioxide emissions trading systems.

The Environmental Protection Agency will unveil regulations for existing U.S. power plants early next month. For months, onlookers have been speculating about what could be included in the EPA’s rule for existing power plants.

EPA To Unilaterally Push Cap And Trade On Carbon Emissions

We were warned in 2008 !!

Barack Obama: "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." (January 2008)

Unfortunately, much damage has been done. I just hope some of the damage is reversible.

I guess the people who struggle to pay their power bill will wind up not being able to pay it at all. I just hope it isn't in January, during a snow storm, when their power gets shut off.

well at least America can take comfit in knowing that by paying more for living in the bestest country in the whole wide world.....
you will stop the oceans from rising...you will stop storms/hurricanes/blizzards ...you will stop droughts...

your going to save the world.....just by paying a few extra dollars on you fuel and electricity....

its a brilliant solution....

thank you global cooling/warming/change.......cap and trade will save all....

this will work because very well educated soft hands have answered all the questions......

I first heard about this a couple weeks ago and had looked into it. We (as in me and my family) are screwed. No other way to put that. Our town draws power from two coal plants.

Not much more to say..... I hope we'll have some change left after paying the utility bill.

Do not expect the next administration to be any different, when a government is run by a corporate entity we the people are the losers regardless of political parties in power.

Any monies taken from the tax payers is to benefit profit makers.

May I offer a thought to explore what you've said? I think the next administration (assuming it's not Hillary) will be wildly different. Obama is sui generis. We won't see a president like him again, unless the country's dying. He has done too many remarkable things, gone outside of too many boundaries, to be ever matched.

I can't agree with people who say "He's just the same as any politician." That makes me think the speaker hasn't had time to reflect on America's history, or become knowledgeable about our president. The only one I think might compare would be FDR. However, FDR had a much more competent staff.

The next president will be different, the country needs a doctor to amputate the rotten parts and take serious and gutsy decisions. We might not be able to find one like that.

Well I have been a voter since 1978 and I have seen my fair share of rotten politicians and figure head presidents, sadly the last 30+ years our government just has gotten more corrupted, more corporatized and we still have the same two cookie cuter political parties.

Nothing else to say here.

I remain skeptical about the effectiveness of cap-and-trade. Seems to me that the same sociopaths who fund the Heartland Institute would have no problem passing the cost along to us and continuing with business as usual. Wonderful organizations the like National Mining Association, Natural Resources Defense Council and the purposefully official sounding U.S. Chamber of Commerce are saying as much.

That said, the comments on this article are hysterical and pretty telling:

That wasn't a yes or no question. Try again.

If you think anthropogenic global warming is junk science, do you believe humans do not produce CO₂ or that CO₂ does not warm planets?

...or neither?

...or both?

Will Hunt CB • 5 hours ago
You are a leftist idiot who would lie even if the truth sounded better. Why are you denying you are a leftist shill using fake science which is nothing more than leftist ideological doctrine to try to force us into global socialism you denying denier?

^ This is why we'll all end up paying more while global warming continues.

Thanks Obama, and the rest of the friggin corrupt, money hungry, don't give a damn about the little people politicians that choose to rob each and every single American.

Now I can sleep better at night in the 90 degree heat with 80% humidity, all becauseI will be forced to turn off the friggin AC.

Lets just seehow many people will die from heat exhaustion in july and August now. But it wil be blamed on the CLIMATE CHANGE.

There goes the sheetmetal jobs along with coal, and coal supporting jobs.

Mark my words, this will be devestating to the economy.

THE AMERICAN DREAM IS DEAD.

We live in a time and age in which somebody have to profit from somebody else, as long as the US government is behind the profitable initiatives and back agendas with laws and executives decisions, we the tax payer are nothing but milking cows.

And earth will change and we will become extinct just like those species before us. But in the meantime, is profits to make.

Where have you been? The median household income in 2012 was actually a tad less than in 1989. The American Dream has been dying for decades. Are you only paying attention now because you don't like the President?

As a construction worker I work very hard for my money. Not saying others don't, but this is going to be devestating.

I realized that the American dream has been gone for along time now.

But the one's like me willing to put body and health on the line in hopes for a better future for our/my children are going to be the hardest hit. Not the poor who get handouts and welfare, they will be taken care of.

I am pissed. We are not going to be able to enjoy the wonderful and clean environment that the president will fix because we are going to be too damn worried about our own heating and food on the table.

While I applaud honest efforts to protect the environment and this planet, I do not think a these credits will do much protecting and restoring as long as humans continue the slash and burn practices of our precisions forests.

Nothing will fix itself, especially when the masses are distracted by a Red vs Blue debate.

"The plan is being sold as a “flexible” one. By allowing states a menu of policy options to meet federal mandates, the standards will ostensibly meet the unique needs of each individual state."

Oh, this is real comforting.....sound like the same promises he made about Obamacare
And we see how that has turned out
Ever wonder what the agenda was for pushing global warming?
Well, now it's coming out
And it will cost the taxpayers out the wazoo in coming years

I personally prefer 'Climate Evolution' because Earth always has and always will change whether Man is here or not
We are an arrogant species to think that we can stop the natural cycles of Mother Nature

A menu? lol.....

Is that like the big linebacker types from the Mafia asking a guy which arm or leg they'd prefer to have broken? They're getting a break, no matter what....just up to the victim how it comes.

How nice of them.

With an appetizer of 'bend over' served first

Not just coal Xuenchen, but as I heard today, the EPA is also going after Natural Gas!

So let's face it! We are screwed!

Obamacare, rising prices of food, an influx of immigrants, this is nothing more than "Cloward and Piven" in action!

At least the people across the pond are intelligent enough voting in UKIP! I am just wondering how long it is going to take my fellow Americans to wake up enough to see what is the globalist cabal is planning for our so called "future"?
