I know.
Thank you.

The point I was trying to make still stands however.

As soon as this guy mentioned his I.Q I knew where this is going.

"I have an I.Q of 155 therefore my opinions are automatically validated."

Intelligence is relative. Sure he is trying to make a valid point but IMO he's gone out of his way to sound as intelligent as he could, a short concise message could've been just as effective.

And what point is that?

It's the point that matters in my humble opinion.

What does he have to say that I can't read on ATS on every given day I log in? He's just spouting off his opinion while protesting too much... Sure there could be some truth in there, I can agree with some points and disagree with all others... He hasn't said anything I haven't thought of or read before, sorry my mind wasn't blown..

How else is one to make such a point on such a subject without doing so?
What I respect is that he doesn't go on the usual "my belief/nonbelief/whatever" is better.
And doesn't even tell you what his belief/non-belief/whatever is.

Total Biscuit has been somebody that made lots of lets play videos for youtube. He has done lots of reviews and has built quite a following. However, lately he is just running around trolling the comments on most popular videos. By trolling I mean inflammatory comments just to get a response. Whether that be to get more traffic to his channel or whether it be because he has a pretty high podium to speak from and he wants more; I can't say.

However, I can say in the last few months he has just turned into a giant douche canoe.

I would take anything he says with a grain of salt and a shot of tequila. Entertainment purposes only.

EDIT: Uh, sentence continuity.

With indifference, honesty, and without bias.

Then specifics please?
All I saw was a rather large amount of nonsepcific fluff.

Pardon my saying that like that, but that's what I see.
And I suck packaging my comments for easy consumption.

Even the biggest fool occasionally stumble upon wise words.
All the rest is window dressing next to what is being said.

No, he said what he was raised as and a conclusion he came to in years past.
Nothing about the present.

It's an interesting read.

I think the situation is fairly straightforward though and nothing a little honest introspection wouldn't cure. Certain elements of both the atheist camp and the religious camp engage in the same BS that they condemn the other side for. There's a lot of unwarranted arrogance, hypocrisy, bad/entirely absent scholarship, lack of respect and just piss poor manners on both sides.

There will be those that read the authors words and try to deny the accusations the author makes . . . at least for the side they identify with . . . others will pick at nits and such to drive the conversation away from the main points the author is trying to make. Then there will be those that read what he wrote, take a little time to honestly examine themselves to see if they're guilty as charged and use that as a launch point for bettering themselves.

EDIT: Having read through the posts that have accumulated thus far, if they can be used as a predictor, the last group I mentioned will be the minority.

I was gonna EDIT but too many posts already.

Why is a guy with an IQ of 155 and a law degree trolling comments. Maybe he took that IQ test for 5th graders, last week.

a reply to: HarbingerOfShadows

He is no fool. But he's a great troll.
