You're right jimmy, because the buck does not stop with Emperor Obama.

He's perfect!

Wonder who he's going to throw under the bus?

also, let me ask you, if a member of ATS, made a serious threat against the president on these pages, and it was found through an investigation by the federal authorities, should the owners of this site be brought on charges of treason?

It'd be against T&C first off, second, your example has no bearing on the White House.

This was a complete lack of professionalism which exists on all levels.

But I will blame Obama, because he's the boss. He's in charge.

He sits in the big chair and gets all the glory when things go right, but when things go wrong, he hides behind scape goats and small lackies like a coward.

Two admins in a row did this? *shakes head

I think this is slightly (very slightly) less horrible than the Plame thing, because that was an evil act done in spite. But either way, people need to be fired and/or brought up on charges.

But they won't. We have precedent for them getting off scot-free.

ETA: Much as I am no lover of the CIA, I hope this guy is on a plane heading home right now for his own safety.

...and that somehow excuses this? How does that even work?

Deliberate, or not, someone's head should be on a platter. At the very least unemployed. Yesterday.

This mistake, if mistake it was, could have, and still might, cost someone their life.

LOL

The "Blame Bush" agenda is still alive I see.

Deflect.

This has zero to do with Bush.

This one is 100% owned and operated by 0bama LLC.

I wouldn't doubt this was some kind of attempt to deflect away from the other dozen or so 0bama scandals.

Chock up one more for 0bama

I bet it's Valerie Jarret, and I can't wait for the mamby-pamby pertussive excuses !!

1) I am really angry about this.

2) Stall as long as humanly possible.

3) Dude, that was like two years ago.

Predictable...

Thank you Pax for airing this latest "gaffe", and I hope this is the lynchpin the
mainstream hooks onto for a bilateral lambasting of the administration it
so richly deserves. This thread should stay at or near the top until everybody
in America gets a taste of how the WH and State care for even "its own".

It's in bold type folks..."the White House" released the names. Whether as
an electronic administrative glitch, pure ham-handedness on the part of
an individual, or God help us deliberate malice is irrelevant: a large chunk
of public perception about our ability to staff Pennsylvania Avenue should
be coming into question right now. I have at this point no doubt in
my mind FDR was absolutely right...
and this many mistakes elude to this being no mistake.

That means there's either going to be another visible and predictable
sacrificial ham bone in this pea soup of transparency-- or we've got a whole
lot more going on with the back burners than the media's allowed to even
hint at.

How long till enough of us speak up? Accountability even as weak as it is
now cannot undo the damage. And with all due respect to Valerie Plame
and Joe Wilson, she was in a place defined as something other than a hot area.
This "station chief" is conversely and without doubt, along with the individual's
family at risk of life and limb.

I lastly propose this is a warning to the rest of the whistle blowers on far station
and in deep cover right now... that if you say another damned word you'll
probably get the beach towel snatched off of you too. "Protect the King!"
For State, the idea of them going to bat for you doing the right things has
recently adjusted to them letting AQ take a bat TO you.
That grey area is beginning to look right spooky.

I agree someone should probably be fired for such negligence, but it wasn't Obama who did this and it's not treason.

Obama has pushed, prodded and forced a technological revolution in Government presence online. THAT much, I will always give him credit for and it's a small thing compared to how much he does wrong, but credit where it's due. There is more online and what has always been there is now friendlier to people using it in serious ways than it's ever been before. All under a very focused push by the White House.

That's all GREAT and again, credit where credit is due.

The problem is it's brought a generation of young whiz kids in place of the adult supervision of seasoned professionals in places like the White House. In my opinion, they aren't professional enough to even think in terms of people like William Buckley. A name I know without looking it up and with fairly good recollection of details. It's sad, they don't.

Security is a joke in far far FAR too many ways, and we've seen the President compromised in personal security by it a few times this term, too.

One would have to be quite naive to believe this time it isn't.SOMEONE in the WH didn't like him and THAT is how you dump such people out of the system.

That's what happened to Plame she was considered fair game. Maybe he angered the wrong person.

This will be what bumps the psycho kid off of the front page news.
I guess the American folks are not buying the gun control lie and so we need to regroup and try later.
Woohoo, a new scandal that will inevitably go nowhere.

Agreed. It wasn't Obama. It was sheer incompetence on the part of someone, or someones. They're who I'd be pissed at.

I'm pissed at Obama for other things...

Buster.....i believe the saying goes like this: "tit for tat...skin my dog and i will skin your cat"!! Who gives a rats ass what BUSH did?? BUsh is not the President......Have the integrity to address the here and now.....Plame was outed because of the investigation of her husband and yes it was wrong!! This is different.....sending out a mass email to 6,000 people telling them who your highest ranking clandestine operative in a country that we have been at war with.....No.....no mistake....I am telling you the things this president and HIS administration has done and will continue to do should tell the world how incredible dangerous Obama is!!

On the heels of Benghazi no doubt.....Buster i have always thought you to be someone of intelligence here, and yet for the life of me I cannot understand why you continue to support the lack of leadership we have all witnessed...

so I have drawn my own conclusion: You absolutely LOVE to argue just for the HELL of it!! I have not seen many post where you comment in support of the OP but i have not looked at all of your posts....

Pax

Forget blame for a moment.....Many people may be harmed or killed because of this.....

I think this administration is by far the most hated ever by intelligence services and the military.

Not only did they broadcast the Osama bin Laden death and raid of his compound as soon as they could capitalize on the headlines against ALL requests from intelligence services so as to make use of what they had found there....

not only did they get the doctor and his family killed who administered a vaccine in the compound where OBL was hiding against the requests of intelligence services so as to show its safe to help us and so be able to get more assets to help in the future......

and many other blunders...but now this.

This administration should be careful. They are messing with the wrong type of people.

I so appreciate your reply...because of this.....you have brought to the attention that whether or not mistake or on purpose.....DOES NOT MATTER.......and You NAILED IT!! The chief is in a HOT ZONE.....and so are many of the BEST soldiers we have ever had.....Who here has the right to put someone else's life in such imminent danger??? NO ONE!

And it really sickens me that for whatever reason this "mistake" occurred it is perpetrated against the very ONES who are truthfully trying to save as many lives...as they can including the incompetent A-HOLES that did this.....These are not the kind of "mistakes" we can afford without great cost! I mean why not pick up a gun and shoot your friend in the back of the head while he walks away from you after just saving your life!

Yes, rest assured no glitch here......not at all....

I wouldn't personally go that far. I think it was a pure mistake from reading about this much earlier in a few sources. It was a BIG list that got sent out to the press pool and on the list, some idiot hadn't noticed Station Chief probably wasn't the title of a guest who wants honorable mention.

I think what the patient needs is a BIG BIG shot of Professionalism among the people staffing for a few levels below Obama and heck, that's even the Secret Service these days. Professionalism just ain't what it used to be.

Deliberate act in an active combat zone would be tantamount to something like attempted murder tho. Not by charge but surely by spirit. I can't get there with this myself.

I can agree to much of that, not so sure of the lack of professionalism. Obama needs though to be hands on in the aftermath, too many gaffs coming from intelligence IMHO. Frankly, I don't like the partisan way of this thread either, it's stupid.
