A Friend With Weed is Your Cat ...Indeed !

A New Zealand woman received an unusual gift from here moggy this week in the form of a bag of weed weighing in at 5g , the surprised woman who didn't want to be named promptly shopped her cat to the police for possession.

Sergeant Reece Munro, of Dunedin, said police received a call from a woman in Ashmore St about 6pm yesterday, concerned her cat had left ''a bag of drugs'' on her front doorstep.

''It was approximately 5g of cannabis, which has a street value of between $100 and $150.''

The cat's owner was very pleased to have the evidence removed and Sgt Munro declined to identify the cat or its owner

There's no mention of whether charges will be brought against the cat but the local police are now looking into the possibility of training a team of drug sniffer cats.

5 grams is less than a quarter ounce, and illegally brought [if you are into that sort of thing which im certainly not] is about 40 quid in the uk, i mean probably.....

thats not what street value means.

It really means: the average price for the smallest measure.

Its like saying "street value of a bottle of coke a cola is X pence" of course if you were to buy a huge quantity for a shop or something you would get a big discount.

Makes me think the woman is generally very nervous and melodramatic- the cat was lucky enough to find the bag and thought to himself, "this is exactly what she needs!"
